This will be a place for the Frequently Asked Questions about the VCS will be answered.

Q- What is the VCS?
A- It's a monthly competition that relies on how much posting you do each day, which adds up to give us a winner at the end of the month.

Q- How do you win the VCS?
A- You get a certain amount of points for placing each day. 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd, and so on down until 1 for 10th. Those points are added together, and whoever has the most points at the end wins.

Q- Is there a way to be DQ'd?
A- Yes. Generally, if you are banned, you get DQ'd for the day. If you spam, you are DQ'd for the day. The easiest way to get DQ'd is abusing Crazy House. 20% of your posts (1 of every 5) should be the most you post in that one forum. Spread the posting out.

Also, the same rules go for Video Game Craziness, Pokemon, Newbie Forum, Vizzed Market, Game Reviews, and Rented Forums. If any of those are over 20% individually OR combined, you will be DQ'd. No questions asked.

Q - What can you win?
A - Nothing. It's a matter of pride more than anything. You can put a little bragging rights thing in your custom status, but nothing really.

Q - What does NR in the standings mean?
A - Not Rated (during the previous day).

If you weren't in the top 10 the previous day, you will receive NR.

Example - Let's say David won a day, and had no internet the next day, but came back and got third the day after. The day his internet went out, he'd be ranked Off the Charts, but the day he got it back, he'd be third, but have an NR for not ranking the previous day.

Q- What does VCS stand for?
A- Vizzed Championship Series.

how will I know if i do post 20% in the places you listed????

lukethewolf1 : Let me try to help you there. Take a calculator --your computer should have one-- and first type in how many posts know you have done in the Crazy House and Video Game Crazyness. Press the division key (÷), then type in how many posts you have done for the entire day. Press the equal sign to get an answer and multiply (x) that by 100. That will be your percentage. Let's say I posted in the two forums a total of 3 times and made 10 posts for the entire day. This is what I would do.

3 ÷ 10 = (first answer goes here) x 100 = (percentage here).

3 ÷ 10 = .3 x 100 = 30.

Does this make sense?

Oh well, at least it got done. I figured back when I ran the VCS only about 5-10 people even cared about it enough to participate and they were smart enough to understand the rules I set out in my thread

The same amount of people still care, but I figure instead of answering the same newbies every 4 pages, that I can just direct them here, and get the same result. It's just more efficient. haha

Although the explanation seems a little lacking. Hopefully people ask more questions as the next competition goes along and there will be more things to add to your original post.

The key is just to post naturally. If you try to win you'll often make poor posts and rush your ideas/contributions.

When you find yourself struggling to make x posts before 12, you need to realize that by spamming you ruin the spirit of the game and make it less fun overall (I'm looking at you, April 2012 Tour de Vizzed)

FAQs tend to take a long time, especially of you want it to make sense and want it complete. Major kudos to those who spend all that time into saving other people time.

Nothing. It's a matter of pride. If you place in the top 10 you can put "#10 (or whatever you placed) in the ________ VCS (the blank is whatever month and year)" in your custom status. But really, there is no reward for it.

AuraBlaze : I was gonna ask the same thing because I been having troubles with multiplying percentages anyways, but thanks for the tip.

You can make as many posts in any forum... it's all percentage based. Make 100 posts in Crazy House? Fine, just make sure it's less than 25% of your posts for the day.

Does VCS still go on while the TDV is still going on? Because there's a whole 'nother post thing for the TDV. So, like i asked, does VCS go on while TDV is happening?

TDV, break month, VCS.
