Recently, I've been having problems with:
Sleeping
Eating
Losing Weight
Thinking

Sleeping - I try to sleep, but never 'fall asleep,' and just lie in bed losing more energy than gaining it.

Eating - I've been eating less and less, losing my apetite, and even my teachers have noticed this.

Losing Weight - The thing that p*sses me off the most...
I try as hard as I can to lose weight, and after a while, it still doesn't show; then whenever I don't try, I lose weight, and on top of that, my weight flip-flops.

Thinking - Complete lack of focus during anything (Includes conversations)

I'm pretty sure most of this is related to the sleeping thing, but I can't really get rid of any of the problems.

The only way I fall asleep is by taking nyquil or night-time tylenol
Also, sleep medications = pure evil

...Help?

Do you have a lot on your mind? Something happen lately that has altered your life in any way?

I myself also have a sleep disorder, sometimes I'll lye down at night for almost 2-3 hours trying to sleep, and than when it's time to wake up, it's insanely hard for me to get out of bed. Maybe you could find some relaxing music, I actually have some relaxing music which is proven to help put you into a relaxed and sleepy state of mind. I haven't used it in a while but it did help a little, I could probalby upload it to vizzed board if you or anyone else is interested (which reminds me I need to put the headphones on and start listening to this again at night).

As for losing weight, are you very active? Best way to lose weight is to be active and I've found that when it's to cold to run outside that jump roping is an excellent way to lose weight, I try and jump rope twice a week (or until spring really comes and I can go running).

For eating, working out or excercising could either make you more hungry or less hungry, but in this case, it couldn't possibly make you less hungry so it may help with that.

As for thinking, sleep is the key to a good mind so once you've got a good sleep pattern going, this should improve.

A lot on my mind... Yes.
As for activeness - I try to be active, but I'm not one of those 24/7 exercise maniacs.

Also, another thing that's been bugging me is my vision.
I think I (Somehow) screwed up my depth perception. I smashed my arm into the window 3 times today when reaching for a cup of water.

Justin, I'm 14, but for some reason it's screwed up on my profile.

I should but I need to see if the eye problems are just for a short while.
Everything else has been going on for a while, but the eye problems just started recently.

I have the same problem with the sleeping. First things first, don't think while trying to sleep. Just like a computer, you can't make it go to sleep if your still doing stuff on it at the same time.

Next, you can try to sleep without thinking but sometimes that doesn't work out too well. Some nights you get lucky and others you don't.

If worse comes to worst, just stay up until your body shuts off then you will pass out and get some sleep. I've done this a lot of times and works pretty well. I've had some really bizarre sleeping patterns in the past but things have gotten much better.

Or you could always take the meds/ sleeping pills as a last resort. But as you said, pills are pure evil don't rely on them!

Ben, play DDR 5 times a week and set 30 minutes a day goals. I've been doing that and now my shirt size is L instead of the XL I needed before. Don't stress about your weight because that can actually have reverse effects and make you not lose weight at all. Just run around, play DDR a lot, and have a blast just being active

Benny, I dont mean to sound like your parents here, but your body is going through changes.
Im no doctor, but what you described sounds like your not getting enough good foods. When you eat, are you eating junk foods? They make you feel tired and sluggish and dont have the right kinds of energy to keep your brain active.

Eat right, and im sure you'll notices a HUGE change (this goes for what you drink to.. get off the soft drinks and onto water).

Yeah, as Bigbob said, what you eat has a lot to do with how your body functions. Also working out and being active will make you tired enough to help you sleep.

I haven't really eaten any junkfood for a while. (A while is over a month)

I try to eat a normal diet, and I drink a lot of water.
(This diet changes if I'm over a friend's house, which I don't do often)

I think one of the things is the TIME that I exercise.
I exercise right after school; not right before bed, therefore I feel tired after school and more energetic when sleeping because of the relaxation.

I actually relax and fall asleep when I finish playing DDR and am ready to go to bed. Ben, why not read manga? Reading helps me sleep and good sleep can change everything, like Dave said.

It's actually helped once before... Why not try it again?
I might actually do that tonight.
(Last time I did that, I also didn't get a freaking heat attack while sleeping)

I'll probably read after finishing up some math notes, though.
(I got too distracted earlier to do them )

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
