I finally got some time to respond to all of the replies lol. The reason I put this off originally was because I was busy with moving, the reason I put this off for the past few days is because it'd take a long time to respond to all of the replies.



Ktanaqui : The Retro Game Room started as an NES Game Room and I started that for many reasons. To increase site traffic, to create a place where myself and others can relive some awesome memories, to help bring recognition to games that most people would never get to experience, to offer a great gaming experience to those who can't afford modern games, etc.

james44028 : It depends on the hour. It can be anywhere between 1 and 5. The average day I get around 25 total but when I put it off or don't have time to go through them, they add up real quickly. For example, I sometimes take the weekend off to enjoy myself and spend time with my family. Between Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning, I usually have around 75+ PMs and 75+ Notfications which I have to go through Monday morning.

Xenthou : My name is David, I like video games and my favorite number is 7. So basically I just tried to find a way to put it all together.

red ninja : It'll probably be a while before we get another plugin update. We're coming real close to the final RGR Plugin update for 3 reasons:
1. The guy who does development on it doesn't express as much interest in working on it anymore
2. It's just too expensive for me
3. I'd like to focus on expanding the site in other directions

ant123ant : I never thought the site would ever get near this size. It started as a forum and I always thought I'd expand the site into an RPG Maker site or a Flash Game Development site but it didn't turn out that way and probably for the best because the Retro games are far more exciting and bring in more traffic than those would have.

My wife and I just recently got our own house finally as of a few weeks ago and to be honest, years ago I thought I would've got a house a lot sooner but turns out I had to wait until I was 27 to get my own place (we were renting her parents basement for 3 years). I can finally say that I'm happy with where my life is right now and that almost every aspect of it feels complete.

jabbs0817 : We'll get Intellivision added eventually. What do you mean by regular Atari? I don't think there's a "regular atari", maybe you mean Atari 2600? If that's the case, we have that. We also have Atari 5200 and will be getting Atari 7800 eventually.

Beastmode64 : It comes down to time and/or money. If I was to make the game itself, I'd have to spend around 3 months of studying (I've never made an MMORPG before) and than at least 6 months of development and than another 3 months updating it. In other words, it'd be a year long project which means I'd have to put off all other stuff for a year and that'd mean the site would have no updates for the long. The other solution would be to pay someone to help me out with it (primarily the coding) but I currently don't have the budget to pay someone and I expect it'd cost $3000-$7,000 to have developed. So it'll probably be another year until development of 'Vizzed Ville' can begin. If I discontinue the RGR Plugin updates, than I could start saving up money for it.

Mother3fan5 : Probably Ho-Oh. On the top of my head, I can't think of what all the Legendary Pokemon are but he's one of the legendary Pokemon that come to mind that I prefer.

nimture : My favorite male Final Fantasy character is Cloud because he's not only from my favorite Final Fantasy game (FF7) but he's also one that I've always felt like I could relate to in some ways. Plus he's one of the coolest and has that legendary sword.

My favorite female Final Fantasy character is Aeris because she's always had a personality which I enjoyed, I've always viewed her as being more quiet and more feminine than most Final Fantasy characters (especially compared to Tifa). I've always felt bad for her in the game to based on the events that happened to her. Her dying was probably one of the only times I got teary eyed playing a game (keep in mind that I was probably 12) and her theme song is probably one of the greatest video games songs.

hilacle : Nope, the games are far too large and there would be too many legal issues with it. Plus a lot of computers wouldn't be able to play the games properly and I'm not even sure if there are very many accurate emulators out there for GameCube.

Mobouis1 : Probably one of my kids. Since I currently have a daughter and a son and assuming I don't have any more kids, it'd probably be handed down to my son.

cnw64 : The only anime I've ever got into was Pokemon and I haven't watched that in a long time.

I do enjoy cartoons a lot though. The only series which is currently airing that I watch is The Looney Tunes Show. I love the humor in that show and it's also a show I can watch with my daughter (who is 2).

There's a lot of other cartoons that I'll watch once in a while but too many to list.

jabbs0817 : For Nintendo do you mean the NES? And for Sega do you mean Sega Genesis? If so, I'm pretty sure we have every sports game for those 2 systems in the RGR.

legacyme3 : Sometimes I do. It's usually frustrating when people ask about modern systems like the DS or Xbox 360 because it should be pretty obvious why those wouldn't get added.

CarBitGTSaxen : It was MySQL errors. The huge weekend traffic caused some errors and I'm still trying to figure out how I can fix and prevent it from happening next weekend.

Seishiro Leonhart : Do you mean what do I think the perfect Civilization would be? If so, I think a Civilization which followed the bible and followed the rule strictly would be pretty close to perfect because than no one would sin, everyone would love each other and get along with their neighbor, it'd be a very pleasant world.

Nope, in fact I think as time goes on, the world is slowly becoming the complete opposite of that. The future of the world, especially our country, is looking pretty bad.

Markeith21 : It's going good but still a lot of stuff left to do. I think we have everything finally moved but now it's just a matter of organizing and finding a place for everything. That's actually a far bigger job than moving everything.

SunflowerGaming : My son is too young to really do anything with but my daughter loves to place hide and go seek. Actually more specifically, she likes it when I set up something (such as a tent) and we gotta chase each other around it. She also loves swinging on the swing at the park which happens to be right across the road.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'competitions'.

mr.keys : Doing pretty good. If our econmy got messed up, I don't think it'd be the end of the world but I could definitely see our economy messing up based on how far in debt the USA is. I don't think the world is coming to an end any time soon.

neal02 : Probably one of my G.I.Joes and probably Snake Eyes. One of my more recent favorite toys is probably Squall (from FF8), it's a collectible which means it's not opened but I also have an opened version too, but of course the one that isn't opened is my favorite since it's worth more. The reason I have 2 is because I bought one many years ago but my little brother opened it so I ended up buying another one so that I had one unopened.

SunflowerGaming : The site started out as a forum and I was inspired to make it from other acmlm boards at the time. The forum eventually evolved into the RGR. For more information on that, refer to what I said to Ktanaqui which is at the beginning of my post.

neilbuckley97 : It depends on what age, I went through a few stages where I had a different favorite. The Cartoon which was my favorite for the longest time though was X-Men, and if I was to rank all the cartoons I've ever seen, I think X-Men would probably be at the very top of the list.

DLCJRpc : Eventually when I have the time and I'm all caught up on stuff, I'll work on setting one up.

jlh : No I don't have a set time and I don't really even plan to retire it. When I become to old, I'll pass it on to one of my kids.

I bought it because I wanted a place for me and my friends to chat.  Some of them don't want to use vizzed, and the one's I referred to vizzed are inactive.  I figured it was the best way.

When do you think I will eventually leave staff? (because if we are being honest, we both know no one lasts forever.)
