RGR Plugin Games back up but saving may not work
The games that require the RGR Plugin are back up.  The reason it took longer for them to come back up is because changing the file permissions of files on a linux server takes longer than what it does on a windows server, I didn't know that so my estimates were off.  For some people (about half of everyone at the moment), the save files probably wont work right away because it's still updating the file permissions for a lot of users, it should be done updating this within 12-24 hours.  Everyone can still play any game with the RGR Plugin but only half of you will be able to load and save your game progress.  Screenshot taking with the RGR Plugin will work.

Java emulator games will be down until probably Monday
The games that require a Java emulator will be down until Monday night probably (central time zone).  The reason for this is because a lot of them don't seem to work on the new linux server, this is also something I wasn't expecting so therefore I couldn't prepare for.  I've come up with a solution though but it'll take a few days to do.  No save files will be lost.


I'm sorry for all this inconvenience, it's not something I could have prepared for or expected.  A lot of my time has been invested into this and a lot of money has gone down the drain ($500+ since both the previous servers were purchased but didn't work out, not to mention the 3 month purchase of the new server costing $1000+).

NyanMario : That makes sense because users of ID between 100,000 - 142,000 should have their saves working.

Here's an update on the RGR Plugin saving.  Users with IDs greater than 100,000 and IDs between 1 and 20,000 should be able to save their progress.

Is the screenshot retrieval page still not working? Only asking because one the game pages needs to be fixed.

i can't play snes games ica just listen to the audio but i cant see what is happening

I noticed one thing. In the Retro Game Room, the alphabetical tabs are not clickable. The only button that works there is the ALL tab. It doesn't affect me any. Just something I noticed.

rcarter2 : MySQL Server messed up, fixed now.  It happens often, not sure why, I'll eventually have to find a solution to that.

That was fast. I also saw that you fixed the problem with the New Posts page too. I was just about to mention that too. Does that happen for the same reason as the alphabet tabs?

All users should be able to load and save on the RGR Plugin games now.  Screenshot taking still may not work for some people.

This started happening today. Anytime I try to load a game that I have not played before, I get a popup that says "Failed to download game. This is often caused by a download error or another game running in a different window."  I hit the okay button, and then I get a pop-up that says "YOU MAY BE HAVING TROUBLE LOADING, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TRY LOADING AGAIN? If the loading continues to fail, try again later and if it still continues, report it to the staff."  I have never encountered this before. I don't have any other page up, I am on google chrome, and any game that I have played in the past works fine.

EDIT: After reading the recent PMs to the RGR Staff, it looks like there are others having this issue.
