As most of you know, I'm putting together a page dedicated to flash games. The current link is located to the top left hand corner of vizzed board labled 'Flash Games Room'.

This is basically a collection of Flash games which you guys will be able to leave comments on and rate. It's not quite yet finished and I still have lots of games yet to add.

Anyway, since I don't have the time to do all teh games myself, I'm willing to pay a very large amount of Viz to anyone willing to help out. Here's how you can help:

Below I will provide a list of games that I need done. You will need right click them and save them to your compute and play them on your computer (don't just click it and let it open up in a window because then it'll be stretched out and not look right).

For each game that you do a description of, please let me know which categories they fall under. Games can fall under multiple categories so don't be afraid to list it as 2 or 3 different categories.

I will give 500 Viz for each game you give a description of. So you're not really reviewing the game but rather you're describing what the game is about and what the objective is and what the story line is about (if it has one). You can say whether the graphics are good or bad but this is not suppose to be a biased review or anything, so don't say things like "I think the graphics suck" but rather you'd say "Game lacks good graphics" or something like that. Description should be about 1-2 paragraphs. Added 100 Viz Bonus if you also submit the controls to the game. Lastly, you should play the game for atleast 15-30 minutes to fully understand the game and how much it has to offer.

I will give you 250 Viz for a screenshot of the main title screen.

I will give you 250 Viz for each screenshot of the in game play (max of 3 screenshots). Also the screenshots should show the game as being fun, don't take a snapshot of something stupid, take one of something that shows the game play and if you take 3 screenshots (which I'm hoping you'll take 3 if you plan to take any) try to take screenshots of different area's, don't just take a screenshot and than take another because you moved your character forward a few inches, the point is to show possibly as much of the game as possible thru the 3 screenshots.

How do you take screenshots? Well the screenshots I will be cropping myself so they should be of full size and full quality. To take a screenshot, press the 'Print Scree' key (or sometimes called 'Prt Scr' key) and than open up windows paint and go up to 'edit' and down to 'paste'. You can take the snapshots however you want with whatever procedure you want but just remember that they have to fully display the entire screen of the game and be of the highest quality. Also please send the pictures in a zip file to me at davideo7@hotmail.com or just upload them.

ALSO, please submit your reviews to this thread so that others know what has been reviewed and so I can reference to this thread

Neyro also brings up a good strategy, if you plan on doing a game, please let us know in advance so that others don't do the same game as you.


EDIT: I also wanted to point out to everyone that if you did about 7 games (description and screenshots), you'd have enough Viz for many of the Game Boy Advance games in my ebay store (as seen in this thread)

Shouldn't we have a maximum amount one can do as well?
So I just don't go, "HEY DAVE! Cancel this post! I'm canceling all my homework for the week and doing them AAAALLLLLL!"

There's no maximum but I will limit each person to 2 games that they can put dibs on. Either way, if someone is willing to do a few of them, this is beneficial to them and vizzed board so I don't see it as a bad thing. But I'm limiting it to only placing dibs on 2 games since someone could say "I plan to do all 10 of these games..." and than if they never do it and someone else wanted to do one of that persons games at an earlier time, it's a bad situation.

I will review one of the flash games when I get home. Maybe the Final Fantasy one. In web design class right now.

It's possible that they may not play once you've saved them to your computer so it might just be that you'll need to just open it in the browser.

Well, here's my review of what seems to be Kirby.

The game itself is pretty simple, except the controls. You are a pink blob with hands and feet that has the ability to inhale any enemy and "absorb" his powers.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to this game. Thats right, almost nothing. This game lacks everything, well, almost everything. You have about 5 abilities you can absorb from a couple of enemies, and they all are pretty much the same in terms of usefulness. There is no storyline. None. There are 2 levels. Thats it. When you go through the door, you'll be going through to one of these 2 levels.

The powers are limited, there is no storyline and no content. This game pretty much lacks everything.

Controls:
Walk - Directional keys
Inhale/Use Ability - Alt
Jump - Space
Abosrb/Duck - Down Key
Jump - Space/Up (In the air)

Note: Controls can be changed via the 'click here' button below the set keys text.

Also, on a biased opinion, this has disgraced the awesomeness that is our friendly pink blob, Kirby.

Also, Dave, since you want a full-screen screenie(s), do you might if we crop out the stuff like our Task Bar? I don't want you stalking me. ;P

Castle Crashing the Beard is an average game with no real solid storyline or obstacles. Basically you start out fighting the boss of the whole game, which is a gigantic face that floats around. There are no levels and nothing exciting to look forward to except a new suit and new weapon once you gain enough points.

Points can be earned from striking the face or by hitting the graves that lay about. When you hit a grave you get magic power, which hardly does any damage to your opponent.

What makes this game bad is the programming and interface whereas the graphics are the best feature. For the most part everything operates well but there comes times during the battle when the face disappears off to the side and out of no where a huge red beam of light fills up 1/3+ of the screen which most likely will kill you. There are black lines to the left and right for about 160pixels and beyond them contains more terrain so if you want to see everything your going to have to shrink your browser small vertically and stretch it long horizontally.

Besides a few glitches with the interface and programming, you will most likely figure out that this game is nothing more then a bore fest with a horrible concept that gets old fast.

This is a huge disappointment for a game; you will have more fun looking at yourself in the mirror then trying to shave a vector face.

JigSawKiller: Your description has some biased to it. Also note that this game you reviewed is one of the highest rated flash games on newgrounds.

Well you can always crop out the negative stuff or I'll just go back in an edit it in a bit. Just because its overrated doesn't make it perfect.

It doesn't make it perfect but the whole point of this flash games page is to show off the games in there to attract attention. If for every game we said "This game sucks, dont play it", we'd get a lot less traffic.

And the rating is based on the people, not a specific reviewer so the majority of the world that has played this game really love it. So please just crop the bad stuff out.

Castle Crashing The Beard revolves around a mad man and his beard. Tampering with his face only makes him more insane. Your objective is to gain as many points as possible, which can be acquired by smashing the big gigantic face that floats around, or in other words, Castle Crashing The Beard.

Be careful he has one big temper and by slapping him across the face only makes it worse. Do you have what it takes to Castle Crash The Beard?

Is it only 1 level long? I tried it out and didn't play it long enough to find out.

Either did I lol... I gave up on it after I died a few times. The light beams that shoot out of him mess you up bad. From what I've played though it looks like it is just one level but your character levels up when you get enough points. I'm taking screen shots now... should be up in a few
