What do you think about the story of the movie, what it wants you to depict. And what understanding or logic you draw from it?

I enjoyed the movies in a general sense although I found they got worse as the movies went on. I liked the first one because everything felt new and whatever but after the first one it felt convoluted and kind of hard to follow the first time.

As for analysis of the movie - I didn't bother. I found many of the conclusions other people came to about the movie to be a little off the wall personally

It was grate...a little out there I would have to agree, but that is the beauty of Sci-Fi....if you have a PC background it may help to understand how it was all put together. At least that is how I understood it.

Now seeing they allowed Neo, the main character, to die at the end of the last one, that does leave the door open for a 4th...after all, that world is just one big endless cycle...of which, hasn't been broken yet

The first one was great... but after that I think they really screwed it up big time. I think they took it in the wrong direction with the whole pill concept and migrating to some machine world.

If you ever seen the movie "They Live", that is how the matrix should have worked. Basically everything is suppose to be an optical illusion in society. You put on the sun glasses and see the truth in society. But I guess that would not work well with the matrix considering the movies are all about how neo is like some sort hacker, virus or freedom fighter in a computer application. His purpose is to invade the application and expose the truth and defeat the evil.

Agent smiths were all in corporate suits so I think if I were to draw conclusions I would say that it depicts what we can relate to in society now. The suit men are viruses to society and people need to wake up to the truth of the real world and how it works and operates. That is what I believe its all about. The movies might be sci-fi but the general concept is reality, hopefully people understand it to some degree.

Go see the movie "They Live", its similar to matrix but the concept is a lot more down to earth and understandable for those who are not tech nuts.

the 1st was grat, unique, had actors id never even seen, and an interseting plot, plus kickass fight scenes.
the 2nd one they foccused way too much on fighting and blowing stuff up etc and neglected the intricacys that made the 1st one so good, so it was a bit of a let down, but decent.
and in the 3rd they got completely carried away with there own success and went mental with the plot etc, it was just terrible, seriously.

A pity, it deserved a better ending than what they came up with.

i didnt think much about what it means because, its just a film.

but i guess the underlying them is its all about perception.
if your brain thinks something 100% then its as good as real to you and that to see the bigger picture youuve got to discard what you hold as the greatest truths.
but,just a movie.

I think that it is pretty good. I liked the story a lot more than the whole bullet time kind of thing that they had going. At some times it did not make all that much sense but it was still a good movie to watch through at least once.

I've watched the Matrix series since I was a mere child, and to be honest, at first, I didn't exactly understand it, but now?

I understand it to a certain extent, but the movie series has such deep meaning in it, everyone can think differently on what it is for and what it means.

Well I watched it for the first time (when there was construction) at my place.......oh I really love it.....the idea is "deep"....as well noted by Snowdeath........I like it because it questions our life directly or indirectly?????

As far as I'm concerned, there is only one Matrix movie.  There is no series.  #2 and #3, just like Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.  They don't even exist.

I enjoyed the first movie. But just like so many other movie series' this one became more and more dull as it went along.

As for an analysis, I tried not too read into the movie too much. If I did that my brain would probably explode from trying to look at every single bit of logic and illogic throughout.

I really enjoyed the first two, but the third one was just "meh" to me.

I try not to analyze the true meaning of the movies, because I'm sure that my brain can't take it.

All in all, I like the Matrix series. The first game is the greatest of the three, combining story, great philosophy and epic fight scenes to make an awesome film. I felt they should have ended it at that one. But they had to make two more. The second one is a little more...."blockey" when it comes to story and fight scenes. It doesn't seem to flow as well as the first game. It has quite a few fight scenes in, with my favorite being Neo fighting the many Smiths. Really inspired me for some animations (that is, if I get round to doing them =P). The third is much more story based, which didn't seem to work in the film. The final battle with Smith and Neo was just over the top, like they ran out of ideas. But that worked.
But all in all, they are worth watching.

I was pumped to finally be able to watch the series, and it was pretty solid. But by the end of it, I was ready for it to be done. I felt it just went on forever after a while and it became a chore.

That may be due to the movies changing settings/feelings. The first one was in this alternate reality and I thought that was really exciting and interesting. It was thrilling and I was eager to see how it went; the second one was great too and that highway battle was intense, but I liked it a bit less than the first. Then the third one came and it seemed that instead of being all sci-fi and over the top action, it was just gloomy and depressing. The ending battle was cool I guess, and I realize the theme and overall story is somber and depressing, but I just wasn't into it. If it were it's own movie it wouldn't have been so bad, but after the first two it just kinda fizzled out for me.

I very much enjoyed the Matrix. It was filled with action and intense situations, which are things I really like in movies. I was quite happy when I was able to watch them. The storyline is very amazing and long, which for movies, longer, is better, for some movies. So I have to say, it was a great series of movies, ad I'd watch them again anytime.
