I play a lot of games on Kongregate, Pogo, and a few other browser-based games. Most of the games I are keyboard-only. I also have accumulated a PS3 controller(with charger cable), PS2 controller(with USB converter), and I can get a hold of a wired X-box 360 controller.

My question, is there a controller interface that allows my to push, say X on a ps2 or ps3 controller and the computer recognizes I press space bar?

And last, what program is best suggested for that outcome?

Hmm, nobody? Well I'll say something...

Seeing your post kinda made me think the same thing if there was such thing. Thought about doing a bit of research and found two programs, Xpadder and JoytoKey. They both do the approximate same thing like what you were asking for, but have trial and full versions. You can take a look at their websites for more info on each one, although those are the only two I found. I haven't tried either yet, but I'm thinking you could use more of JoytoKey since its trial is just limited features without the worries of X number of days.

Anyone else have a suggestion?

Honestly, instead of buying USB converters and calibrating your computer to work with console controllers, I would just suggest buying a PC controller. A lot less hassle.

I'd suggest a logistik controller (or whatever it's called)

PC controllers work a lot better than console controllers in terms of functionality.

Well, I was hoping to use a console controller cause I'm broke. I've had the PS2 controller for years. Oh well, guess I'll get one when I can.

netfirecat :
you can pick up a good logitech controller called the precision, it is like a ps1 controller b4 dual shock so no analog but would work well with keyboard games, I'm guessing, and it only cost 10 or so bucks at gamestop.

I'd highly recommend using MotioninJoy for the PS3 controller. It's a pain to set up no matter what because... The PS3 controller doesn't like PCs until you force it to. I guess the PS3 they come with are also for keeping the controllers from having sentient minds.

That aside, here's the link for MotioninJoy. It's a program that allows you to make the PS3 controller compatible with the PC. It is easy to use once you get things set up on it, as well. You probably could use a PS2 USB controller with MotioninJoy, as well. I'm not entirely sure...
