Hello friends.  I just finished watching The Human Centipede, and it got me thinking.... There are some extremely graphic movies embedded in my memory banks.    I almost feel like I have traumatic horror movie syndrome.  Just kidding...    Most of the memorable horror movies I've seen had some kind of crazy mutilation/torture/brutal/graphic death scenes.

What is the most horrifically graphic, over the top mutilation,  scarred you for life horror films you've ever seen?

I'm not into horror or gore, but some of the deaths in the cube grossed me out =|

I just am not a fan of them

Was never into the quintessential gore-fests but here are a few that comes to mind...

Brain dead/ Dead Alive
Evil Dead Trilogy
Day of the Dead (not much gore but what little there is is pretty decent)
Zombi

i don't think i have ever seen extreme Gore before but it's funny i was wondering about how Gory the human centipede was

If you want extreme gore, watch Wishmaster 1 and 2. Don't watch 3 and 4 because they suck. But the first two were actually famous by their gore. The second one is about twice as gory as the first one, and you don't have to see the first one to follow the second one with no problems. Both movies have a scene near the end where dozens of people are getting killed in the most bizarre and gory ways. If you want gore fest, check those out. Again, not the 3rd and 4th one. They were stupid and didn't even have a massive multiple death scene like you would expect after watching the first 2. In all honesty, I would start with the second one, and then watch the first.

The worst horror movie I've ever seen was the Saw movie(the third one I think) where the guy had his limbs and head  twisted by a machine.  The movie Mirrors stayed in my head for a while.  I have trouble sleeping when I watch that movie.  I don't know why.. It's weird. 

That would have to be in Hostel when that guy gets his genitals cut off. That is really gross and they show the whole thing. There is not one thing that can make me forget that scene. Just so gross the whole freaking movie is messed up.

The first one that comes to mind...Ghost Ship

I'm really desensitized to gore after so many horror movies, so what I usually remember better than just gore is a really suspenseful/dramatic scene that also has injury. The first thing that comes to mind is in American History X. For those of you who haven't seen it, Edward Norton plays a racist skinhead man who hates non-white people because of some stuff that happened in his childhood including his father's death. When the movie starts he wakes up to find two black men attempting to steal his car, and he goes outside and has no mercy on them. The first man he just shot, but the second guy was the really intense part. He held him at gunpoint and forced him to bite the curb of the pavement before he stomped on his head and killed him. It was really messed up, but a very well-done start to a very moving film.

I remember that film, though I wasn't able to watch more than 15 minutes of it, a little to dramatic for my tastes I guess, sort of like 8mm with Bruce Willis...

Yes Ghost Ship is the movie that starts out with all the passengers being on the deck of the ship in a ballroom setting and then someone trips a really taunt piano wire and cute everyone, except the captains daughter, in half. The only reason she lived is because she was too short.

yeah.... you guys are naming mainstream stuff (except for human centipede)....

I could show you guys some stuff I've seen that makes all that mainstream crap seem tame.

I don't really care for gore that is not why I watch movies. If you want gore then I suggest visiting orgish for some real gore, none of that fake hollywood stuff.

I don't really enjoy gore or horror, and the moment I saw the word Human Centipede I tried to hide as soon as possible.

That movie grossed me out.

No movie has seriously "scared or scarred me." I've been a movie fan since the first horror film I've seen which was Hellraiser and have my share of favorites in terms of gore!

Saw 1-5 .... I wouldn't consider this movie scary but gory, twisted and sick! The creativity Jigsaw came up with to torment, torture and "kill" his victims is clever and unlike any other killer in movie series.

Most of the Hellraiser films, especially the first one. Another sick movie with cannibalism, scary demonic monsters, bludgeoned murders, chains tearing people apart!

Lastly, The Collector.....the whole concept intrigues me and get's the third and final spot on my list. The sadistic killer inside the house sets painful, bone crushing, flesh piercing booby traps throughout a mansion resulting in many bloody deaths!

If you haven't seen any of these movies, I would recommend you do so...they'll guarantee a disgusted reaction after each kill scene.

On the note The Collector...anyone seen the Jeepers Creepers movies...or the movie Wrong Turn...seriously sick and twisted there

Oh movies ? Hell. if you are freaked out by them. :/ . The Lights and the sounds are the only reason to be freaked out. Most of you who watch these movies expected this. Crying over realistic (which actually isn't ) gore and blood ?

Not one film gross me out but seeing real life gore over the net is disturbing and i can't believe those ppl would just make mindless humor comments over a person death but have feeling for animals getting killed and they are the one eating them  how ridiculous

The first one that comes to mind is Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. They made a point of having people die in bloody ways and they made a point of showing a lot more blood than would normally be there.

geeogree : No joke. It is the movies that you never heard of that have the seriously sick gore. No doubt. Although, in your opinion, was Wish Master I and II going the mainstream route? I was trying to avoid those and I honestly never heard of those movies until my cousin just randomly bought me the second one. 

If you want some real gore, check out Guinea Pig: Flowers of Flesh and Blood. That movie is just plain sick and disturbingly realistic. I know a lot of people say their gore films are realistic, but this movie has a little history behind it for it's gore. Charlie Sheen (before he went crazy) was given a bootleg copy of this movie (he had never even heard of it). The scenes were so realistic that he thought it was real and turned the cassette over to the FBI. The FBI actually watched it and did an investigation because they were convinced it was real. But when they found the girl in the questioned scene alive, the investigation ended (obviously). It was so bad. Not for the weak.
