I've been hearing about this movie from my close friends and I was curious about your opinions for this movie, because I'm not sure if it's worth watching or not.

I saw the preview trailer, and it seemed good, but I'd like to hear your opinion about it first.

Like yourself, I've only seen previews and the trailer. It's not typically a movie I'd watch but since it IS about a dolphin missing it's tail and somehow surviving in it's habitat, I'd like to see it someday. Not to mention it's based on a true story.

It seems impossible to fathom how a dolphin could survive tailless in the water....but this dolphin has for a short while. The mechanical tail ultimately saves it's life.

Yeah, the only reason the movie caught my interest was because it was based on a true story. Otherwise, I'd just throw the idea out, and labeling it as a typical animal movie.

I'd probably actually learn something from the movie, considering the dolphin actually survived in its natural habitat for a bit while without a tail, which I thought was NOT possible.

Snowdeath : I haven't seen this movie, but I might check it out online since Morgan Freeman is in it.  The name of the dolphin is Winter.  I could drive 40 minutes south of where I live and see the dolphin at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. I think my sister and her friends are going to see the movie at the theater and then go see the dolphin at the aquarium. 

About a year ago, I was at a park on the ocean and I saw a dolphin struggling in the water. The dolphin was looking like it was trying to beach itself.  It was missing it's dorsal fin. I'm guessing a boat must have hit it or maybe it was attacked by a shark or something. I'm no expert.   It rode the shoreline and went out of site after twenty minutes or so and I never saw it again.  I found a park ranger and told him what I saw and where I saw it but I don't know if he did anything about it or if there was anything he could do about it.   It was pretty sad to see.

From what I saw it looks good enough to watch, especially seeing it is based on a true story. The other animal movies like Ice Age, The Land Before Time and Lion King, those were nice, but I would think this is of a better quality. It's sort of like Happy Feet, not necessarily based on a true story, but it depicted the things of today.

I haven't watched It since we can't remember the netflix account But I heard It was really good and It's something I've wanted to watch.

I saw part of it, it's a good movie. I liked it.

I didn't even know that they'd made this book into a movie... I used to read the books, and I loved them. It's been a really long time though (like seven or so years, I believe). I haven't seen any commercials for it either - when is, was it expected to come out?
