Alright then... lets do the obligatory  newbie introduction post eh?

   I an a female of 17 years of age,(for now, b-day is in Jan) and you can call me Hero, as no matter how safe this site may seem I tend to err on the side of paranoia... its my own fault for reading those Internet conspiracy theory's.

   I honestly stumbled across this site in an attempt to find something to do other than read words off a page in a book, don't get me wrong I love reading, but I've been sick all week and there wasn't much to do other than feel miserable and grow extremely board.   I got a bit stir-crazy.  So in hopes of finding something to occupy my mind with I found this place, with free games to play, and I figured I should at least sign up before I start playing.  The whole Viz thing confuses me a bit, but I'm reading the different things about it in a effort to understand the system a bit better.

   That's why I'm hear in a nutshell I think... any tips to make sure I don't drastically screw up would be appreciated, and though I'm not really an active forumer/poster/whatever you want to call it, I'll give it my best shot... for the games of course =P

Welcome to Vizzed, Heroshand. Glad you could join us to cure your boredom. I enjoy a good book every once in a while, but I am into video games more as well. The Viz system is something you probably will not find on any other forums. It is a bit complex to those who are new, but you will get into the swing of things quickly. It is a shame to hear that you have been ill, but at least it brought you here. I'll try to explain the Viz system in a nutshell. As you likely already read, you get Viz for posting on the forums. The amount of Viz depends on the size of your post. The thing you will use your Viz the most on is purchasing the games to play. When you play a game once, you buy it with Viz, and it is then in your game profile. When you play it once, you will not have to pay anymore Viz to play that particular game again unless you sell that game for a refund and play it again (don't see why you would do that). You can also use your Viz to buy items from the item shop, which increase your stats that you see on your profile page. As of right now, those stats don't do anything. But Davideo7 is creating a battle arena where you can fight other users with an avatar that reflects your level/stats. That feature is something in the future. There are a lot of other ways to get Viz, and if you want to know how, just ask. Hope that at least clears it up a little bit. You will get the hang of it. And no need to be paranoid. Every user here can can agree that nothing bad ever happened to their computer from this site. And this is also the friendliest online communities I have ever seen in a site. Hope you have fun.
