That's really not that shocking since I have no clue what age I started lol. I'm guessing they start around 5 years old. But that is pretty amazing, the baby will be a college level before entering elementry school lol.

1. The parents taught the daughter from day one every day like a military camp on how to read 2. She indeed has a special ability 3. It's like loss of hearing, one sense goes away, the other become 10 times better. So perhaps she may have a very fast developing brain, but something else might be wrong. Now on account of 3, if this is true, she does have a very fast developing brain and a awesome short term memory. But what about her long term memory? Will she be able to remember stuff from a while back? Will her quickly developing brain cause problems in the future? You never know. The parents claim they didn't teach her how to read but that she just started looking at books and learned how to read apparently (that's what I got out of it anyway).
So yeah, #2 fits her, she has special abilities and is already a genius.
