Grand Theft Auto 4 I think will be for XBox 360 also.
Metal Gear Solid 4 might be the only one of those 3 games I might be interested in playing, but I stopped playing the Resident Evil games long ago.

Now if they would just make that Final Fantasy 7 remake for the Playstation 3, then I think that'd be enough to convert people over to the PS3. I would buy a PS3 just for FF7 remake if they did remake it (which I'm thinking they eventually would, why would they tease us with a game they aren't going to develop?).

Now I do think that the PS3 will eventually make a come back but I don't think that'll be for another 1-2 years.

Yeah, any comeback Sony has tried to make so far has been more disastrous than Britney Spears at the VMAs.


Anyway, I will stick with Wii and PS2 because they're both very worth the money . Sony will make "home" and then it might make its comeback. Or did they already release it? I forgot .

Yes, that is about the only way I would buy a PS3, is if they made a FF7 remake. Now I may be very tempted when it comes time for FF13 and FFv13 to hit the markets.

Yeah, it kinda would. I would like to see FFVII get remade because it's still great even after 11 years. That's powerful.

And I don't want to give the impression that I'm dissing the PS3, I just don't think it's the PS3's time to shine yet. Give it a year or 2 and the PS3 will start making a come back. Until than, 360 and Wii will continue to dominate.

Yep. I know you're not dissing PS3, but a lot of people are they don't even give it a chance to get up and come back yet.

Personally, every system has great games and there really is no bad system. When it comes to video games and video game systems, I'm as open minded as they come and there's no system I hate. I of course own an XBox 360 and a Wii so I'm not going to be able to give an accurate opinion of the PS3 but my dad owns one and me living at home am able to play it once in a great while.

ANyway, as technology becomes cheaper, so will the PS3, and now that Blu-Ray has pretty much defeated HD DVD, that just gives people more of a reason to get the PS3 due to it having a built in Blu-Ray player.

But for now, I'm happy with my Xbox 360 and Wii (and DS).

*raises hand* I am dissing the PS3. It has yet to show me that it is a capable system that deserves to be called NextGen. It took it a while, but the 360 finally did (Oblivion brought me over to the 360 side )

Canarith: The Playstation 3 currently doesn't offer anything that would make someone get it over the XBox 360 but in time that may possibly change. We'll just have to see.

PS3 is like a reverse dreamcast; It came out being hated and it will end up being loved; there will be a game to save it.

DS, Wii, and 360 are better though so far. Even PS2 is.

the real problem is that "exclusive game" thing. it seems to me that i will not have a real choice for next generation console, since i want metal gear and lots of of japanes rpgs. it is sad, but most japanese game developers do not favor xbox 360, and i think nintendo wii, though interesting,is too much underpowered as video game console.

Keeping games exclusive is very good keeps competition going.

The PS3 has the potential to have better graphics, it's just that most game developers right now are rather lazy. They worry about money more then quality. That is a real shame if you think about it.
If you look at some upcoming games Final Fantasy 13(Normal and Versus) in particular you see some are still striving for the best. Square even stated they are putting everything into it. Back when 13 was going to be a PS3 exclusive they said they were gonna push the PS3 to it's limits. I expect they are still planning on doing that with Versus, just because of the little information given about it.
Other games though like MGS4 look clearer and fluid then most Xbox games I have to admit. I as an Xbox owner feel somewhat cheated at times when such a great game comes along and it ends up an exclusive. (Luckily RE5 was multiplatform)
What it all comes down to is does the company have money to spend on graphics and if they think they'll make that money back in sales. If they don't think so they won't push the envelope.

RE: MGS will be PSX exclusive, thats poppycock. Even PS team have come out and said they didnt compress to full potential, to reduce load time, so it could run on 360.

360 is heaps easier to program for in general, expecialy for people deving on multiple machines. But you look at a games warehouse that make exclusives.. EG, mgs, they can do awesome things with the graphics, and they know how to work the CPU and GPU's better.

EDIT: Twing, as a games developer (almost.. give it another year) I can tell you its not the developers fault. Publishers put preassure on the devs to get a game out by a certain date. Say, NFL 2010. Its going to sell epicly whether its good or not..

I got my PS3 for $150 from the Sony website and I am against XBOX. I plan to never get an XBOX and will keep supporting Sony.

Thats why you fail. The only think i like from sony is Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

Honestly, I dont believe Gamespot these days because they can sometimes be bias. And WE all remember the Jeff Gertzman accident. And let me tell you, Kane and Lynch is a very underrated game.
