Out of all the posts and threads the Newbie Forum contains, I think that most of it has absolutely nothing to deal with introductions to Vizzed Board and what not. The thread I made to introduce myself has 41 replies so far and only like 5 of them are related to my joining. What's going on here? -------------------- |

As to answer your question, it's usually because with this board, just like normal talking, you tend to stray from the topic, and if I remember correctly, that after like 2 pages the topic is allowed to stray off course. If a newbie thread gets off topic, that is fine as long as that newbie is getting a conversation going with other people. If people are just using it as a quick opportunity for a big post count, that's where we draw the line.

Maybe there could be a small code that makes non-newbies only be able to post 1 response for every 2 responses a noob makes in their thread.

Well that would fix the problem but personally I wouldn't really put down restrictions. I'd rather face the problem itself instead of restricting it so to say. |

If we had to put down a two minute restriction then we would be having other problems entirely.
I still say let the off topic discussion go on as long as it's good off topic discussion. After all if you were to introduce yourself in real life and the other person had the same hobbys then you would probably start talking about them.
