OFFICIAL RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT


  • No Pokemon may have an enhancement item which includes but isn't limited to: berries of any kind at all, attack enhancement items, defense enhancement items, move amplifiers, saving devices such as FOCUS BAND, speed amplifiers, critical hit nullifiers, anything that can be given to a Pokemon to hold and use.
  • Participants may use only ONE(1) legendary Pokemon.
  • Shutting off your DS while battling is an automatic forfeit
  • Special attacks should not be spammed to win easily, such as HYPER BEAM and other attacks that can wipe out Pokemon fast. We want the battles to be fair
  • Refrain from cursing on voice chat
  • Any Pokemon with hacked moves (moves that such a Pokemon cannot learn, for example, a water type learning fire wheel by use of a game cheating device like Game Shark) will lead you to be banned from further tournaments and will have you forfeit this one.
  • No hacked EGGS will be allowed.
  • No game cheats are allowed
  • If you lose, there are no do-overs.
  • The following Pokemon are not allowed to be used as they don't exist yet: SHAYMIN, ARCEUS.

1) Not from what i've heard. Also, if you breed a hacked pokemon, the offspring is a 'real' one, so you can use it online.

Yes, but my friend had a hacked pokemon offspring and went to an event, and they wouldn't let him in because they said the offspring was originated from a line of code in the game that was only accessible through hacking (Making an egg of a hacked level 0 Heracross with 5320 HP is not a good idea)

Ahh, yeh, if your a tool and you make a pokemon thats hacked like that.. then yeah.. you suck..
What I mean is, I could say, make a lvl 80 steelix (or what ever the evolved onix is), a level X Y, with X amount of HP.. ect.. and you may never know.

I had read about pokemon hacks that cant be seen. Your pokemon looks like you spent many hours on it.

I'd be in but I think there are only 5 people on the board who have the game, and I'm sure only 4 are willing to play and one of them (mvash) has a lot of pokemon he cheated to get with his Action Replay so I'm not sure if he'd remember which ones weren't cheated.

I didn't use cheats for any of mine and on top of that, I haven't traded for any pokemon with other people except people I know.

I'll make exceptions as long at the Pokemon he is using doesn't exceed the legit effort values (which is 510 total points). As long as he doesn't use a hacked Legendary Pokemon that has 999 HP and 999 everything, then he can still participate.

Believe it or not I've studied EVs since I got diamond. I'll know if their defense or attack, etc. is above normal. it has a lot to do with doing math in your head.

You can calculate the damage and the Pokemon's starting attack, defense, etc. usually only differ by 1 or 2 points (which almost makes no difference), plus, I don't think 4 people on a gaming message board is going to hack for prizes that can be easily obtained on their own.

Oh good god, I am so participating and I am SO gunna loose. But seiriously, the only reason I now COMPLETELY hate Pokemon games, is cause people figured out all the EV's and crap, and now actually breed them with the EV's in mind. I get what I want, don't care what it has. Also, on a sort of branching off-topic question, anyone have any methods to level pokemon besides constantly challenging the damn elite four? It got boring REAL fast.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
