I gotta get myself a Gameshark and get Aeris back. I'm that type of gamer that likes to complete a game 101%. Everything completed, so I prefer having ALL characters. I hate games where you have to choose between one of two things, and never get access to whatever you didn't choose.

Sometimes I am like that but sometimes not. I beat Emerald weapon with a level 34 Aeris in my party.

Well you guys shouldn't of read this. Aeris dieing is one of the biggest moments in gaming.

Aeris death got the 'Most Monumental Point of a Game'
Everyone true gamer knows of it. But every true gamer knows that having her alive would screw the story line up. Seriously.
She's dead! And she ain't coming back. She can't what would she do. nothing. I mean its just like having Sephiroth in your party. It can happen (myth) but who cares. Who would want to confuse the story.

Thats a rule i guess... your character can die all it wants in a battle... but if it dies in a cut scene which you can't control your screwed.

Yeah, I have and it doesn't work. I've heard there is a REAL way to revive her, and not al-a Gameshark. But you need to have the Japanese version of the game to do it.

First thing you need to do, Is to get the Materia called Underwater Breath. It's found by bringing the map found in the Sunken Ship to the guy in the first village(The one you bring the Desart Rose and the Earth Harp to after the world flips over and he starts taking about his adventures. If you bring him the Earth Harp he gives you an Ocean Chocobo without you having to breed it. And if you give him the Desart Rose, he'll give you ANOTHER Master Magic Materia, the green one). Underwater Breath does a number of things, one being it removes the timer on Emerald Weapon, and lets you swim OUTSIDE of the sub, so you can explore a cave you wern't able to reach before. But this is just the stuff you can do on eather version. When you have the Japanese version, You can also go to the pool you dropped her into after she died, and swim down. If you have the Materia Holy with you, she'll open her eyes, and you'll be able to use her. All this is done mostly on the second and third disk.

Oh, And you can play as Sepairoth too with a Gameshark, but he looks more like Vencent, and you can't take him into major dialogs where each char talks, or the system crashes...

In the japenese version if you hold down cfertain buttons, i forgot wht they were you get every item 99, every weapon, every matria mastered and every character mastered, as you achieve them they will already be level 99. But i don't thinks its true.

Ok, here is mine....
First, win 999,999,999,999 battles and talk to the Sleeping Man in that cave near Junon. He then tells you to defeat the Masters of Sand and Sea. At this point a ghost tells you the same thing at that church in Midgar. Now defeat Emerald and Ruby Weapons and take their items to the Sleeping Man. He will give you Phoenix Brains (Take Yuffie and Tifa with you when you talk to him to get some funny dialouge). Now that underground palace will be opened again. Go to where Aeris was killed to fight a strange monster called Jenova-Aeris. Use the brains in this battle any you get the revival choices of this :

Anyhoo, use it on ??? and the game will slow down and says Phoenix Brains cannot be used on ???. Now use it on the monster to kill it with one shot. After battle, the game resumes normal speed. You also have Aeris with you.
