Personally, I think it's Jim Carey "stupid funny" making it ridiculous at times. I can't deny a few scenes in the entire series that made me laugh. It's not the kind of movie I'd watch or typically buy.

Scary movie 1 was great, Scary movie 2 was alright, and it just got worse with the next couple movies. Unfortunately it seems that many movies take this swing that the first movie sets such high expectations that the next ones can't live up.

I almost peed my pants at the theaters watching the first Scary Movie film. The second one was pretty funny too.   I was a HUGE scream fan growing up.  I watched the ending over and over.  I loved Stew's "My mom and dad are gonna be sooo mad at meeeeee" lol.. and " You F***ing hit me with the phone D**k"..  great movie lines.  If your a movie buff and a fan of the movies they parody, then your in for a treat.  So, yes I like the Scary Movie series.

I don't really like scary movies at all. I'm a coward and hide under the nearest thing when there is a scary movie on. It was very well done and had some classic moments (The two that come to mind would be the scene where the girl tries to crawl through the cat door when it clearly shouldn't have even been an option, and then the part where the high ghost face starts free style rapping). The second one was okay, but got old after the second time seeing it. After that, it was like they knew that people would go see them, so they felt they didn't even have to try anymore.
