My little sister is having to write a paper about schools in Africa and how they differ from schools here. I have been searching the internet for a while now and I haven't been able to find anything. Everything I type in seems to lead me to advertisements for charities. That's not a bad thing necessarily, but I haven't been able to find any information for my sister.

I put this under the 'school' category because it is school related. If it needs to be moved then by all means.

But could anyone help me out?  Maybe I'm just typing in the wrong key words or something. The only problem is, the source cannot be wikipedia.

I've tried to search it up as well, but I've failed at it myself. Perhaps if you go to the school and ask some of the teachers on where you can get some information like that or stop by the local library and ask around there. Who knows. You might find out something useful. That's about the only advice I can come up with.

I don't understand how she is expected to write a paper about school programs in Africa. Africa is a continent, not a country, it consists of over fifty different countries and territories. Depending on how developed the country is (there are varying degrees), the school system would probably be different, even nonexistent in some regions. Are you sure the assignment doesn't ask for a specific African country?

You could try search terms like "school curriculum" or "school program" instead of just "school".

Id agree,this is a fairely Stupid assignement,north africa,central africand and south africa all have very different schooling systems.
I watched one about zimbabwe,the parents payed all there money(a few Pennies)to have there kids taught in a field.it was stupid,they had some math and reading but most of it was about geography and religion.knowing about islam,christianity,hinduism etc is not going to help you break out of poverty.
North africa would have a much more complex system.

I agree...this is a bit of an asinine project but not only because of the immense culture and economic variations across Africa (thus different school systems) but also because of the difficulty in finding up to date, unbiased information.

Since Wikipedia can not be used as an actual source...what about the sources Wikipedia used?
