Excuse me if I sound like a newb here, but what exactly is Netplay? I know that it is coming to Vizzed(at some point....) and that you can play with other people. What I want to know is if you can play with random people, what I would have to do to set it up, what games it will be compatible with, and if it is a program I will need to download, install, run, etc. Any information online obviously does not adhere exactly to what Vizzed is like, and the info is extremely limited. Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't worry you kind of are a noob. But either way it is so you can play online with the different games. You can play just like you are playing them on the console or what not.

Also Netplay is not up yet, and won't be for a while.

I'm not fully sure how it would work on Vizzed but I'd imagine it would be the same as you normally would with the emulators. You'd have the option in the emulator menu to connect, then you'd exchange IP addresses.

It would be built into the RGR plugin, so you'd just need to download and install the new version of the plugin.

I have stated it before and I will state it again...... I am a noob. Therefore, I have no clue what IP addresses are, I'm guessing its like.... the person's username? Anyway, the point is, there wouldn't be any playing with totally random people? You could probably just use the chat box to find people, but it seems like kind of a pain.

IP addresses consist of four numbers separated by periods (also called a 'dotted-quad') and look something like 127.0.0.1. Basically what I'm saying is, with netplay, these address would need to be connected for it to work. Now, I'm not sure if the RGR plugin would automatically enter the IP or if you'd have to do it manually.

But yeah, you'd be able to play with anyone logged into Vizzed so long as they agree to connect. It wouldn;t be hard to establish netplay with people on the site because each game has a chat box, separate for that game.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
