I'm doing a throwback morning, right now I'm listening to "no hands" by Wocka Flocka Flame featurijng Wale and Roscoe dash, the song isn't all that, but everything Roscoe does (hook and verse) is pretty timeless, and for once the beat isn't that great.

After getting a little sick of my current LFT playlist, I've decided to take a visit to Ren's Bandcamp page and hunt down the original versions of GREAT EXPECTATIONS (original by Renard - ROBOT BRAINSTRONAUT BLASTOFF!!!, remix by Furries In A Blender - Atomizer), GABBERSTÄG (original by Renard and Futret - unknown album, remix by FIAB - Atomizer), Yellow (RMX FIAB - Atomizer) and The Quick Brown Fox's NO HESITATION, which JUST HESITATION (still one of my favorite LFT tracks, especially the Jackal remix <3) is an "alternate take" of. Not exactly a remix nor an edit, just something mostly different made with the same reference - that reference being Pendulum's The Island, which I've previously mentioned on this thread.

Well, I came back with not only what I looked for, but also several new stuff - Mayhem's #BASEDSHARK EP (which has the IMO most ridiculous music video of all time included as a bonus), D-Mode-D's Just Love and For Crossdressing!, Jackal's Fire Planet EP and The Queenston's evereffervescent, the first three being old albums and the last one being a brand spankin' new release.

Unlike most Queenstons albums, this one is being offered as 100% pay-what-you-want, but this doesn't mean it's worse than the rest - it's on the same level, if not even better than this alias' previous releases. Prismatic and Undertones were great, but this one harkens back to the "group's" older, peppier days - heck, it even includes "The Great H Returns", a sequel to the all-time classic Humanoid (which Mayhem remixed on #BASEDSHARK), the song that made VulpVibe Records/LapFox Trax famous in the first place! It seems that after a long period of depression, identity crisis and musical experimentation, Ren's truly back at it! Wooohooo!

I just didn't find the version of Yellow I was looking for. I think it's one of FIAB's older tracks back from the VulpVibe days, but I've seen its lyrics - "You know the stars.../Look at how they shine for you..." - quoted in several places. Maybe it's a remix from a non-Ren artist, or is it just a looped sample? I also didn't find the original version of GABBERSTÄG, but I know it's from 2012, since it's included in the 2012 Megamix present on ON TRAX Volume 5. Hmm...
