Rapture, an underwater city that by the 1960's had reached a technological peak greater than even what we have seen today. But what a terrible turn for the worst the city took, as it is now crumbling and filled with genetic mutants bent on killing any and all they can get their hands on...

Where little girls, protected by large men in diving suits with awesome weapons, loot the bodies of the dead for their very blood...

Where deadly security systems meet you at every turn.

This first person shooter depicts its view of what the fall of civilization would be like if the world had no moral code, all in the form of an underwater city filled with people who have messed with their DNA a few to many times.

Combining classic weaponry with Genetic Modifications, Bioshock delivers the kind of gameplay you would want to see in a FPS. Shock an enemy first with your Electric Bolt (plasmid ability) and then whack 'em dead with your wrench! Assult them with thrown objects from your Telekinesis, then mow them down with your machine gun! What more could you ask for from a first person shooter?

Simple. A gripping story line, which Bioshock just happens to offer. The tale begins as your plane crashes in the ocean, near a lighthouse that is the entrance to Rapture. Down you go into the city below the sea, trapped by events you must survive to meet your would-be savior known only as Atlas, and find and put an end to the monstrosity that is Andrew Ryan and his screwed up city of mutants.

A great game all in all, that achieves a 10/10 in my book, which me being a fan of RPGs (and not FPS) is saying a lot.

I have only heard good things about this game.
Everything I have heard about it, I only just found out its underwater.. . Any idea if you play in the water, or in the buildings or both?
I wonderd why the guy was in a diviing suit...

When you say rapture, do you mean the city is going to die because mutants are rebelling ect, or is it something much more spiritual than that?

Rapture is actually the name of the city.

Its all inside of buildings and tunnel-ways. No underwater fighting that I have come across yet.

I want to play this game so bad now. Been a while since I've played a good FPS (since lack of overly good FPS on xbox and lacking gfx card).

Yeah, I just beat it all the way through today for the first time. It was a really excellent game with lots of plot twists and FPS action. I REALLY REALLY recommend this game.

I'd be willing to play it if the idea and gameplay didn't freak me out. But the review was pretty good

I love games that freak me out. I usually play a game that's scary in the dark while alone. Awesome way to get a thrill
