Erm... there has been a sequel. Mother 3, which was released several years ago and the fan translation was released a year or so ago. In fact, you can play both in the RGR.

Now, if you mean a sequel to Mother 3, then I certainly wouldn't mind another awesome RPG like its predecessors. In fact, there are efforts in making a Mother 4 fangame that you can find here: http://mother4.andonuts.net/

I want an Earthbound that takes place after Mother 2 in Eagleland with a slightly different story...




I am all in for a story which takes place in the Earthbound universe but features no PSI, GIygas, Porky or any recurring party members , something like Grand Theft Auto 4's episodes. Would be intersting to see a story with an original character and an original mission but he is in the same location (Eagleland ?) and maybe interact with some of the same people Ness interacted with, maybe even major characters (Tracy, Tony, Picky). There could be a plot element that links the series up together (like the dimounds in Grand Theft Auto 4).

I would buy that or read a similar fanfiction.




Also, I don't want Nintendo to go back to nowhere. I want Eagleland or rural America ...
