Have you see the HBO series Game of Thrones? If so what was your thoughts of it as you watched it. I thought the show was pretty good but has way to much nudity for my liking, not for the kids.

My father was watching that other day. I've only seen some of it, myself, but from what I've seen, it seems like a pretty good show. And yes,, I agree with you - more nudity than needed, But to be fair, it IS on HBO which can play just about anything because it's a premium channel. They don't have to worry about censors.

I remember a part where this guy was feeling his sisters breast and pretty much liking it. That is just sick and wrong and does not need to be in the show at all.

I don't have HBO but I see it on Sky Atlantic and I think that it has to much gore in it also it got pretty boring for me so I stopped watching it.

It was an amazing series taken from an amazing series of novels. They did a great job with it. The author (George RR Martin) had his hands all over it so it was true to the books. Give it a chance. My wife wasn't down with the first episode because of the nudity and the overall misogyny but by episode 3 she was hooked. and by the end she was in tears for some of the characters. Some of the best TV I've ever seen.

I love the series. It's like a darker grittier version of Lord of the Rings...without the rings, hobbits, elves, orcs, treants, goblins, balrogs...okay it's not really like LotR :/ It's realistic with just a dash of fantasy in it. I've read all the books that are out (3/4's of the way through the fifth one) and I can't wait to see the later seasons. It's not exactly a series for everyone since it is gory and has a lot of nudity but that stuffs not there just to bring in gore/nudity fans. It actually fits into the story, for the most part, and can be important.

I made a thread about the book series in the SciFi/Fantasy forums that talks about the show a bit... but yeah, I absolutely LOVE this show! I think that it is so great that Martin is involved in the casting and writing of the show, and that HBO is taking care to stay as true as they can... I know it's not 100%, but nothing ever is.

And the casting! Oh wow it is just so great! I thought Sean Bean playing Eddard Stark was a great choice, and I think it helped draw in a lot of people. Hopefully most of them will stay, because the people complaining that they only watched for Bean really pissed me off.

What I really love about this series is that Martin did a lot of research into Medieval history when he was creating the world. You get to see a lot of the grittiness, the poor, the blood, and all the other things that most fantasies just sort of brush over. It's a more realistic brand of fantasy, and I cannot get enough of it!

I started watching about halfway through the first season, since I didn't have HBO back then. What can I say? It's captivating (Even despite the nudity... I'm still scarred by the sight of Hodor's junk...) I did start reading the books first, and they're really great so far. I'm about a third of the way through the third book. Unfortunately, I, once again, no longer have HBO, so I'll have to find a different way to watch the second season as opposed to watching on TV. Guess that's why we have internet
