Well, I usually use Coolrom, because the entire collection is virus free and there are no harassing ads like other emu sites. However, if GYR becomes as cool as JigSaw says it will be, it'll definitely be my choice for ROMs.

Before the discovery of Vizzed...I used to play emulators with Project64 I think it's called. I downloaded the roms from Coolroms. Of course, they have no where near as many games to play as Vizzed..

My favorite was the now defunct Arch Nacho and Tortilla Godzilla's Quality ROMs. The site had only SNES, Genesis, and NES ROMs, but it wasn't just a huge dumping ground. They actually had writeups of each game on the site. And it was totally virus free. I actually learned of a bunch of different games that I missed out on during the Genesis and SNES days. I miss sites like that, but unfortunately they're down now.

For GBA ROMs I used to use Rom-Source, and when I was an admin there, I tried to make it like Quality ROMs, doing little writeups of the different GBA games on there. But the site went belly up (Sort of) and no longer hosts ROMs.

Oh, I just noticed that this thread also asks where one would download emulators as well. For that, I would typically just go to the emulator's web site and download it straight from the source, that way I would always have the most up-to-date version possible. The only other place I've ever downloaded emulators from was Zophar's Domain, but I typically only download their chiptune emulator plugins for Winamp.
