Well, I usually use Coolrom, because the entire collection is virus free and there are no harassing ads like other emu sites. However, if GYR becomes as cool as JigSaw says it will be, it'll definitely be my choice for ROMs.

Usually Coolrom, but like the_casualty, if GYR is as good as Jigsaw claims it to be, I might switch to that. But until then I'll stick to Coolrom, and Emulator-zone.

I get most of my ROMs from CoolROMs.com, but I might try Get-your-rom.com some time.

...  EUREKA!  I think a smart choice would be Coolrom, because it seems most of the games on the site are not available for sale at EBGames anymore, which means they must be somewhat legal, right?

Before the discovery of Vizzed...I used to play emulators with Project64 I think it's called. I downloaded the roms from Coolroms. Of course, they have no where near as many games to play as Vizzed..

I use most of those sites, and ones that google tells me that it's +5 or higher or has a lot of Facebook likes.

I may use Get-Your-Rom in the future.

I haven't gotten a ROM or emulator for a while, but I used to use emulator-zone and romhustler.

Well normally I will go to Cool Rom ....for basically N64 Roms...I basically play only N64 games on emulation.

I haven't downloaded ROMs in a while, but back in the day I used to be massively into it, and I had a couple different sites for different purposes. My favorite was the now defunct Arch Nacho and Tortilla Godzilla's Quality ROMs. The site had only SNES, Genesis, and NES ROMs, but it wasn't just a huge dumping ground. They actually had writeups of each game on the site. And it was totally virus free. I actually learned of a bunch of different games that I missed out on during the Genesis and SNES days. I miss sites like that, but unfortunately they're down now.

For GBA ROMs I used to use Rom-Source, and when I was an admin there, I tried to make it like Quality ROMs, doing little writeups of the different GBA games on there. But the site went belly up (Sort of) and no longer hosts ROMs.

For N64 and now for everything else I use Coolroms. Quick and easy, if slightly impersonal. 

I just downloaded a rom recently from Cool Rom but I'm looking for more website to download hacks now So for the time being I've been using cool rom for a while

Oh, I just noticed that this thread also asks where one would download emulators as well. For that, I would typically just go to the emulator's web site and download it straight from the source, that way I would always have the most up-to-date version possible. The only other place I've ever downloaded emulators from was Zophar's Domain, but I typically only download their chiptune emulator plugins for Winamp.

I sometimes nab an emulator off of there. Just 'cuz the version on the site may be obsolete doesn't mean it won't work.

For the roms, I've usually headed to RomNation, or if it's large enough, usually just finding a torrent works out better.

I get my emulators from Emulator-Zone, and my ROMs from CoolROM.
