I voted for online gaming

i voted this way because even tho some of my favorite games are offline games like super mario world. I have the best time playing online games, the experience is so much better for me.

Well, in a way, both. (However I'm not voting for offline gaming) In some circumstances, you just want to play alone and have time for yourself, other times or other people prefer to be on TeamSpeak in 30-player raids against massive dragons where there's always a Leeroy Jenkins in the middle to add humor. Depends on which game, which community, and which genre.

Yeah, but keep the voice chat off, it's mostly tweens swearing up a storm at you when they lose and that can hurt your ears.

Text chat can be insultive to, aswell as.. you know.. that other thing..

I could read all the slander and insults in the world and still have my vision... some times... to a squeaker you can lose your hearing and often become disoriented and dizzy... Playing Online with prepubescent retards in NOT the way to play...

I have to agree with you Davideo, offline gaming offers so much. Most of my favorite games are offliners. My favorite video game series is Legend of Zelda (it was the first NES game I played when I was like 3-4 years old). I have played EVERY one since, and loved them ALL.

I do play some online games, but rarely. My favorite being Crimson Moon.

I had problems playing RE:OB after they closed the servers.
I can't even play without someone to help guide, let alone brainless NPCs/AI

i like online games but i live in a place that only gets dial-up, so it limits my play.

Yeah that can suck, when I first started playing online games (dreamcast and phantasy star online), I had a dial-up connection and I was only able to play at night when no one was using the telephone (or when I'd ditch school and no one else was home ).

Our internet is shared with many computers (6 active at once, or less), but even thou I run a cable, most people run wireless, I find it hard to play online. And thats with my 6mbps connection.

Online gaming is better just look at Resident Evil Outbreak File#1 and File#2.

I enjoy a good aggresive chat. It would be like playing with my buddies. We always taunt each other. Some times i just enjoy calling out noobs at some games and yelling out "F*** your face" when i rape kill somebody

I'm going to have to go with offline gaming myself. I'm an RPG type of person and games like WOW, Everquest, and DII Don't do it for me. Although I probably will play DIII when it comes out, but only if it's free.

I was addicted to DII about three years ago and just recently started playing it... again. I recently quit playing it again because I remembered why I left the first time.

I hate the race. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The race for good s***, or in DII "Godly EQ".

I can't deal with that. If I'm playing online I don't want to deal with a bunch of trading pricks only interested in swapping s*** for better s*** so they can say their dick is bigger. I'm sure this is not everyone online, but I just don't get into it. I play video games to take a step out of this world, I don't need a game where people try to implement the same traits as this one.

I play games like Oblivion or Morrowind. Final Fantasy games are great too and I love classics like The Legend of Dragoon and Super Mario RPG (which, by the way, just became available in the Wii's virtual console).

At the end of the day I can always find a good game to play offline with my own friends or by myself. I think if I were to play Online I would waste way too much of my time because I have books I want to read and college to tend to... plus I already have a 9" penis.

Right now the two online games that are consuming my time are:

Conquer Online
Brawl

I am taking a short Maple Story break until an interesting patch comes

...You know they took both of the servers for that down (In america), right?

but still, it was awesome for an online game.
(Except for the lack of any form of ingame chat >.<)

Speaking of online games' servers, there's obviously going to be a website that'll make a patch or hack to make new servers for RE: O

I think the Online is better than offline becuase you can vs. more Intellegent players that are actually alive and they can talk back, and you have people and friends to talk with. so online would be better for me.

im not really sure which to choose
online is cool with seeing people all around the world and stuff but (and im not saying anyone here is)you can get some real noobs. aka people who show off all thier upgraded stuff, peopl who are bad temperd beacuse u beat them etc

offline is cool cause you can play the story of the game either alone or with friends, or like halo 1,2 and 3 you can just sit back and kill each other to kill some hours. but you just dont seem to get as much thrill out of it after about the 3rd or 4th time of completing the game.
