I liked Classic Sonic more probably because he's more customizable than Modern Sonic.
Classic Sonic could use the flame, lightning, and aqua shields, plus he can even equip the homing attack.

I think that Modern Sonic is more fun to play with because he is in 3D mostly instead of 2D, but it should have been entirely 3D and leave the 2D to Classic Sonic. In the Unleashed Project, Classic Sonic could be used in Sonic Unleashed's Day Stages as well as Modern Sonic, so vizwiz123: you can get your wish with the levels from Sonic Unleashed, just don't Spin Dash in 3D, it crashes the game completely.

i would have to say that the modern sonic is so much better then the classic sonic only because in the modern sonic you and charge the roll where as the classic one you can't and it just sucks because it makes everything easier when you can charge your roll and on top of that in the newer sonic games you and do speical moves and i think that is much cooler then just running with no other cool features
