My cousin came to spend the weekend at my home but instead his dad picked him up today and he only spent three days there and he was really sad so tell me is it right to take your son who is happy where he is and can do what ever he wants and no one shouting out him and stuff and at his home they always shout at him beat him and my uncle hardly cares for him so was he right to take him ? ps if this post is in the wrong place can someone move it for me please.

I feel sorry for your cousin, but your uncle is his father, so legally he says where his son can and can't go. Unless your parents say something there is nothing you can do.

That sucks for you man. His uncle has the right to take his son wherever he wants him to be, but it sucks that he's such a douche. =/

ya my cousin can report if he was older and he is afriad of his father and i know there is nothing i can do but all i no my grand mother is really going to blow about this.

Legally, it is right. It's terrible that your cousin lives in such an environment, but there is little you can do about it that's within boundaries. You can try and convince your uncle if you can take him in, but it wouldn't be right to just steal your cousin away.

well lets just say that the country i leave in you can beat your child but at leats stops blaming everthing on him.

Well, I would say that's wrong, but honestly, and legally, the child's father is the one who chooses whether if it is right or wrong to take his own son in any places. However, if you do say the truth, that he's hitting his own child... That's reportable to the government. However, you need to think this long and hard. Will your cousin be happy in a foster house? Is it worth it? There's also the possiblity of him being taken to a different town, maybe far away. There's all sorts of things you have to think about before deciding if you would report the father.
Also, my father always said this... He's the boss of the house. That is true, since (in most cases), the father paid for the house. It means it's rightfully his own object, and his proptery. It means he sets his own rules, and he can boss around people in his own proptery. But if the rules conflicts with the LAW, it's immediately reportable by anyone.

If they beat him, then it is illegal. If the police find out, his parents will probably be arrested and lose custody. If that happens, then either you're parents can try to adopt him or he'll probably be put in foster care. Either way, he'll be out of that environment which is definitely a very bad one.

Depending on how old he is, it doesn't really matter. His dad has the legal right to take him back. It's not fair, but he doesn't really have a say in it.


I do think something needs to be done about it. Do your parents know everything that is happening with him? If not, telling them should be your first priority from now on.

thanks it didi help i dont need to report him because he is going back with his mom ans st.vincent and he said he is never coming back.
