Growing up in the 80's there was one cartoon that was extremely hard -not- to like. This cartoon was Thundercats and for years fans of the series were asking for a reboot of the series.

But before we begin, I'll talk about the classic show for just a moment.



The classic follows one of the thundercats named Liono, who is destined to be not only the leader of all Thundercats, but a Savior to say the least. Passed down is the Sword of Omens, which grants power to the group, and they must face off against Mumra, an ever lasting Mummy whos'e goal is to not only take down the Thundercats, but to take the sword of Omens for himself and use it to conquer the universe.

Thundercats went on to last four seasons, and 130 episodes. Which was epic for cartoons like this, as it was matched up against Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, and other epic cartoons in the late 80's. It was hard not knowing this show existed and it indeed leave a mark as one of the greatest classic cartoons out there.

As for the new show coming out. It airs TONIGHT on Cartoon network.



It's also directed by the creator of Avatar, The last Airbender (From what I understand that show is good too) and the origional voice actor who did Liono in the 80's cartoon returns as Liono's father in the new one. Which is some pretty damn good fanservice.

Overall, the new one looks good. And I'm glad a new generation get's to check it out. Hope to see some hype from the Vizzed community because honestly, if it was anything like the classic; it's going to rock your face off.

I just watched it and I thought that it was very well done. I think that it could be a very promising new show and I hope too see more good episodes like tonight.

It looked great I watched the old series when I was around 8 now a remake it im glad

hnnn : You should go online and watch the new show. The first episode was one hour long but it was worth the whole hour. I think they re did it out of love.

Great, I used to watch this show until 12 Pm when I was 5.
Maybe I'll get the same sense of nostalgia as back then.

Epic back then... The Remake, Very Epic!

Honestly, the 1980s version used to bore me to tears when I watched on Cartoon Network as a kid. =/ I watched the remake the other day though and it was pretty good. I'm actually impressed. I'm glad that Snarf doesn't talk in this one.

Looks like a really nice remake of the original Thundercats.

I guess I'll get to watch it when I get back to the states. I used to watch that show as a kid, but I didn't know it lasted 4 seasons. Looks like I missed out on a whole lot.
