Hadn't been on here in a minute so the last few movies I have seen...Less Than Zero (1987) Clay (Andrew McCarthy) comes home to Los Angeles after his first
semester of college and encounters some disturbing developments. His former lover, burgeoning model Blair (Jami Gertz), has begun to abuse cocaine. But her addiction pales in comparison to the drug dependency of her new boyfriend, Julian (Robert Downey Jr.), who's also Clay's childhood buddy. Clay tries to help them get sober, but the process is complicated by Rip (James Spader), a callous dealer Julian is indebted to. Good 80's movie and you can really tell how messed up Robert Downey Jr. was in the 80's....it's crazy. Worth a watch. Grandma's Boy (2006) When he and his roommate can't pay their rent, video game creator Alex (Allen Covert) finds himself homeless and moves in with Lilly (Doris Roberts), his wacky grandmother. Lilly and her elderly pals like to hang out in front of the television all day, but their constant presence puts a damper on Alex's social life and pot smoking. Alex wants to court co-worker Samantha (Linda Cardellini), but he's preoccupied by a rivalry with another game designer, so the would-be relationship is in limbo. Just a damn funny movie...haha. Lastly....Dead Presidents (1995) Soldier Anthony Curtis (Larenz Tate) returns to his Bronx home after a nightmarish tour of duty in Vietnam. But the nightmare continues for Anthony and his friends as they suffer the indignities of trying to find steady work and provide for their families in a flagging economy. As desperation takes hold, Anthony teams up with Skip (Chris Tucker), a drug addict, and Kirby (Keith David), a small-time crook, to pull off a bank heist that will give them all a chance for a better life. A little on the rougher edge side...good movie. Enjoy... semester of college and encounters some disturbing developments. The last few movies I have seen....they are all kinda old school but.....All the President's Men (1976). Two green reporters and rivals working for the Washington Post,
Bob Woodward (Robert Redford) and Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman), research the botched 1972 burglary of the Democratic Party Headquarters at the Watergate apartment complex. With the help of a mysterious source, code-named Deep Throat (Hal Holbrook), the two reporters make a connection between the burglars and a White House staffer. Despite dire warnings about their safety, the duo follows the money all the way to the top. Top class movie about a huge event in American politics during Nixon's presidency. Night of the Comet (1984)After a rare comet sighting, teen sisters Regina (Catherine Mary Stewart) and Samantha (Kelli Maroney) find that they're among the only survivors of a zombie attack. The girls partner with another survivor, Hector (Robert Beltran), but as they try to avoid the zombies, they're sought by scientists who want to experiment on their bodies in the hope of finding an antidote. Dodging both the doctors and the undead, they keep moving in the hope that they can continue to stay alive. Kind of a Cult film from the 80's kinda joking about 50's sci-fi flicks. If you like 80's movies you'll like this. Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) When teenagers Mike (Grant Cramer) and Debbie (Suzanne Snyder) see a comet crash outside their discover a pack of murderous aliens who look very much like circus clowns. They try to warn the local authorities, but everyone assumes their story is a prank. Meanwhile, the clowns set about harvesting and eating as many people as they can. It's not until they kidnap Debbie that Mike decides it's up to him to stop the clowns' bloody rampage. Another cult 80's film....but I hadn't seen this in probably over 10 years until a few days ago...awesome as a kid...still pretty damn cool. Enjoy! I went and saw Sausage Party for a 2nd time yesterday with my friends. I went with the same guy who I saw it with on Saturday, but we brought two other friends because we wanted to see how they reacted to the movie and it was just as awesome and crazy as the first time that we saw it. Totally worth it to see it a 3rd time. |

I saw Jurassic World for the first time the other day. It was okay. Maybe it's because I saw Jurassic Park as a kid in the theaters and I skipped the following two or three movies but Jurassic World really didn't do anything for me in terms of suspense. Sure, loose dinosaur and people getting mauled. It wasn't especially scary and I was underwhelmed the whole time. The dinosaur was cool and the T-Rex and raptors fighting the Indominus was fun to watch but it felt almost campy.
The thing that got me was that English assistant chick. I thought the finish for her was way over the top and that was not awesome. It was super aggressive and I'm not offended by violence since my movie The thing that got me was that English assistant chick. The last movie I saw was The Grand Budapest Hotel. And I looooooooooved it. It's now my 2nd favourite movie (mind you I don't watch very many movies) of all time! I love the characters, I love the way the scenes are filmed, I love the music, and I absolutely LOVE the color coordination. The way everyone is placed in a scene, and the way the scenes play out with such whimsy is just so great. My grandmother introduced me to it, and I am so happy! I've only bought 2 DVDs in my life, and this is one of them. ![]() ![]() |

The last few movies I have seen are actually kinda random...you know over holidays they show marathons of whatever. Anyways, Raw Deal (1986)When efforts to prosecute mob boss Luigi Patrovita (Sam Wanamaker)
are repeatedly derailed thanks to a mole in the FBI, the only choice is to bring in an outsider -- specifically, Mark Kaminsky (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a disgraced agent who leaps at a chance for reinstatement. After FBI chief Shannon (Darren McGavin) gives him his orders, Kaminsky fakes his death and reemerges as an ex-con named Brenner. Undercover and accountable to no one, the former Fed tears up the mob from the inside. This was when arnold was at his best. Clean and Sober (1988) Hotshot real estate salesman Daryl (Michael Keaton) has a bad cocaine habit. After embezzling his company's money, he wakes up next to a girl who overdosed. To hide from the police, he checks into a rehabilitation program guaranteeing anonymity. Under the mentorship of counselor Craig (Morgan Freeman), Daryl accepts that he has a substance abuse problem. As he falls in love with fellow patient Charlie (Kathy Baker), Daryl begins committing to a newly sober life. Kind of a depressing movie guess that's why it was on at 3 am....Michael Keaton was good though. My Fellow Americans (1996) Ex-presidents Kramer (Jack Lemmon) and Douglas (James Garner) have hated each other for years. But when the current administration of President Haney (Dan Aykroyd) -- Kramer's former vice president -- tries blaming a string of kickbacks from a defense contractor on the two former presidents, they band together. With Haney's goons trying to kill them, they set out across the country to try and clear their reputations. In the process, they see a side of America they never knew before....awesome movies with some of the greats who have passed.....everybody can enjoy this 1 I think. Lastly....I was checking out netflix and random movies I have never heard of well...... Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day is a 2009 Canadian mockumentary comedy/crime film directed by Mike Clattenburg, and based on the Canadian television series Trailer Park Boys. It is the second film in the Trailer Park Boys franchise, following Trailer Park Boys: The Movie (2006). Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day is a conclusion to "Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys", the television special that ended the series after its seventh season. The film follows the characters of Ricky (Robb Wells), Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Bubbles (Mike Smith) as they return to a life of crime after being released from prison. Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day premiered in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the 29th Atlantic Film Festival; it was released theatrically in Canada on September 25, 2009. It received mixed reviews; some critics praised it for staying faithful to the television series, while others derided it for its crude humor. Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day grossed over $3 million during its domestic theatrical run. It won an Atlantic Film Festival Award for Best Sound Design, and earned a Genie Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role. Although it was intended to end the franchise, Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day was followed by a third film, Trailer Park Boys: Don't Legalize It, which was released in Canada on April 18, 2014.....that's it enjoy.....they all are actually good in their own ways but....my fellow americans is an all american classic. are repeatedly derailed thanks to a mole in the FBI, the only choice is to bring in an outsider -- specifically, Mark Kaminsky (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a disgraced agent who leaps at a chance for reinstatement.
