Get-Your-Rom will be relaunching soon and it will be getting a huge makeover. This is not meant for what roms or isos to add because we are working on that and got all the systems covered almost in the new version.

Videos I'm not sure about because those get removed very easily but perhaps if people wanted I can create a feature which would allow you to submit your own game videos or others peoples videos to the game pages.

We could also add manga, comics, game music, maybe even game news / editorials or something. Any other ideas?

Gaming news, Game music. Keep the site involved in strictly video games. If we were to add comics and stuff I'd put it under a separate site.

One thing about gaming news is not everyone is as connected to the gaming news as others, so this would help give the chance to get viewers tuned in. There should also be a submissions button so that the user base can submit news as well, but to control what's seen it would have to go to someones inbox to verify it's truthfullness.

I like those ideas especially users submitting stuff, it would need a mod though... I think I'm going to have to hire some people cause this site is tons of work and no single person can do it all

I personally love making music from other video games. It would be great in my opinion, if there was a section where all fan made stuff for games could be placed. Like fan art, remade music, etc.

These are great ideas I think they will greatly improve site so I'm throwing it all in there.

When you write an article for instance you will be able to link it to either an entire system or a specific game. Then this article will show on the main system page and on all the game pages its related to. The same thing will apply to videos, fan art, soundtracks etc... I will probably even throw all that stuff on the main page of GYR too with it randomly selected or newest first.

Here is a messy list I put together real fast of the basic ideas of what to expect:

Now would you guys like it to be anonymous when you submit stuff or should we have screen names? I guess I will make it Anonoymous as default, you want a screen name you can create one and change it anytime you want.

I might as well even make a add link section where you can post your already submitted reviews or forum threads on vizzed and it would redirect to the right location on Vizzed. Basically you will be able to do a lot on this new version and it will allow you to promote your youtubes, your own sites, your threads whatever it may be that is related to games.

Yeah the pictures have to be redone... currently since none of them are optimized its eating tons of GB of bandwidth just for the pics each month. Will also work on getting strategy guides and such too.

Well I have never had any good experience with the site, but I would say that you should add news to it. I am not sure otherwise though.

Since Get-Your-Rom is affiliated with Vizzed, do you think it would be alright for staff reviews that are on Vizzed to get copied to GYR? I know David said he wanted the reviews on Vizzed to be exclusive, but it might be good for the roms on the site.

Someone70 : I actually encourage people to copy and paste on GYR. I don't care what site you get it from copy and pasting will be legal on there

Some kind of search function would be nice. There are a ton of ROMS to try to wade through, and search would be a much quicker way to do it. Even "Search by System" would be really convenient.

tj4bigred : Actually I've been working on a search its just not up yet. You will be able to search a specific system or all systems at once if you want. For now the easiest way to browse games is going to the "List" link where the system alphabetical links are.

I plan to implement rewards on searches, for every unique search you do which has never been searched before you would receive GYR points.

Add some Atari 7800 games and if you have them already,put some hacked games in Get Your Rom
