I think Dragon Ball Z might be copying Sonic X and here are a couple of reasons.

1: the main characters on each show can go into super form

2:they both need their friends help to get 7 items and keep them from the enemy

Actually, Sonic X would be "copying" DBZ, since DBZ is considerably older. I do see the resemblances, though. Sonic is to Goku as Shadow is to vegeta. Knuckles... I can see being like Piccolo.  I thought I was the only one who thought that, too

No one copied no one. The storyline of the chaos emeralds came long before dragon ball z and. Only 2 people can go super and in dbz like 5-7 people can. Plus those are the only 2 similarities I can think of. In Sonic x they were trapped in another world and trying to get home. Copying would be taking the storyline and using it as their own.

I like both shows though DBZ more, both do have their moments, I never noticed how similar plots can be if you look at them, but I do feel that they are both to different for one to copy the other, and yes DBZ came around before Sonic X.

The ideas are quite similar, but the story is completely different it anyone was copying it would be sonic. But hey you can save the world as normal cool sonic, unlike in DBZ where you have to be like super saiyan 8 (exaggeration) and then come back from the death to save the world

DBZ came out in japan in 1989. The first sonic game came out in 1991. Sonic x is fairly new. If anyone copied anyone, it would have been sonic x.
