The latest book I read was about a week ago, it's called "Another Monster" and it's a sequel to the manga Monster, following the story of the main antagonist, Johan Liebert, and the mysterious murders that may or may not have been commited by him after his disappearance. However, I paused that read so I could reread American Gods. It's my favorite book of all time and I find myself reading it again once or twice a month because it's just that good.

I just started another new book, and damn, is it awesome. It's called "The Guns of The South", by Harry Turtledove, and it's an alternate history novel centered around the American Civil War. It's essentially "What if time-travelers gave the South modern weapons?", and it's remarkably well-written and researched. I've read some 40 pages last night, and so far, I really enjoy it.

The book really captures the attitude and the social climate of the period within the Confederate Army, and plausibly shows how the arrival of time-displaced weaponry could turn the tide of the war, as well as the difference in perspective from men of the era, and modern men who travel back in time thinking they understand their perspective, but really only going off inaccurate preconceptions that really don't match reality. I won't spoil anything more, but I really recommend the book, and I promise you won't be disappointed.

During the last few weeks I reread the first Percy Jackson book to prepare myself for the new show on Disney+. The book is still as good as I remember from when I was growing up and is still one of my top 3 books of all time.

I read Diary of an 8-Bit Warrior last. I was reading book number 5. And I found out that there is going to be a book 7! I'm super excited because I have been re-reading the books, and I was wondering if there would ever be a book 7.

Runt (The main Character) was on a solo mission to get Crafting Table that had more slots, but his friend Breeze decided to find him, but Kolbert didn't tell anyone that Runt went out trying to get it. And so, Breeze comes, and they find a place with armor (Which was trash, but they needed it anyways) that was free, so they geared up so they can fight. And then Stump comes with Pebble, and Emerald. They work together to get stuff and yeah. I'm on page 190 right now. Each book is about 250 Pages, the shortest one is 180 pages around there.

A few months ago I read the selection series, which is a teen romance series.

I only read it because I bought the first book way back in what, 2014? and just never read it. I was bored at work and saw it on my phone so I gave it a go.

Obviously it was written for teenagers and whatnot, but I still enjoyed it. Sappy love story and all, felt nice to read something not made for adults again.

I just finished reading The Hobbit by none other than JRR Tolkien himself. I hadn't read it since middle school over 10 years ago and hadn't seen the movies since they released in theaters.

I was enjoying the book so much that midway through, I went down the YouTube rabbit hole of trying to understand the full history of Middle-Earth, including all the important characters, wars, and events that take place over its 4 ages of history. Even though it was confusing at first, the events and characters within each time period were so fascinating that I became determined to gain a deeper understanding of the rich world Tolkien created. I fully plan to read Lord of the Rings and Simarillion for the first time later this month.
