Well I would have to say that I do not want Master Chief to end up like sonic. I think Halo should have stopped at Halo 3. Not looking forward to it.

People say that they are milking the franchise, but I don't think so. Halo is warranted more games for its large mystical universe, and isn't going overkill like say, COD, Fifa or Final Fantasy, to name a few. I think Halo 4 looks to have some of the vibes gotten from classic Halo, especially the Library. This looks to be set on a Forerunner installation with no UNSC back up, which is going to be an interesting change from the almost squad based gameplay we've had recently with Reach and ODST.

I hope that halo 4 will be at least a ok game since bungie hasn't made this one and I love the halo franchise because Halo: Combat Evolved/Halo 1 was the first game I ever played.

Its funny, i used to think both halo and call of duty were ungodly overrated.  but honestly, after playing call of duty, i can honestly say i prefer halo much much more, despite it being overrated. in COD, you can die from one shot almost constantly, which is why its become so notorious for campers and the like.  Halo automatically stands out more because it isn't just another military shooter, its a lot of sci-fi translated really well into a first person shooter. When I saw that Halo 4 was coming, along with a trilogy, I couldn't help but notice that it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Didn't they say that they were going to "Finish the Fight" when Halo 3 was coming out? I mean, I know the ending sort of left stuff open for that kind of thing, but a new trilogy? Come on. And the fact that Bungie isn't doing those games anymore also makes me a bit skeptical about how the game's going to perform.
