Ok, so I talked this over with Zamiel, and I think we've come to the decision that since I have the most time available, I will host this tournament.

Basically it's played using the chat bar.

To make sure we have no people who quit halfway, we are keeping the cost involved. However, since the Viz Market is verrrry active, I'm upping the sign up fee to 1500 (not that much really) The Viz should go to me by the way, I'm not doing it on an alternate account. =P

I want to have at LEAST 8 people involved. Send your Viz to me, and I'll make a note you signed up.

The minimum I'll allow is 4. The maximum I'll allow is 20.

I just summoned 17 people, so don't be afraid to show this to your friends. I doubt everyone will sign up.

Before I forget heres a crucial bit of information.

YOU are responsible for scheduling your matches against your opponents. I'll draw up a bracket after everyone has signed up, but you need to make sure you can play against your opponent.

3000 eh? Boy that's steep, I have yet to part with any of it, even for an RP, though I think I should for this other one I'm involved in 3000 it is, I'm In.

I could never get go. haha... I'm ok at chess, to an extent. Although my recent record is three straight stalemates. (I seriously fought back using only a king and stalemated) Main reason I'm not playing haha....

I dunno if go is a game we can play in the chat bar, but if it was it'd be something I'd be willing to learn for a tournament of it =P

Yeah, uh, what the hell is with people having expensive fees to participate in something?  I love playing chess, but 3000 is a bit too much to spend for this.  I know I have a ton of Viz but I really don't feel like spending that much just to make sure I continue participating.  I'll join up when either the fee is reduced or when there are a lot more players.

I'm out too.... but mostly because I don't have the time to play chess right now.... my MIL is in town for the week and I'm going to be pretty busy with work on top of that.

Yeah uhh, jeez that was a lot I'd say, I'm all in, but is there any chance of a discount? All for some chat bar chess games?

What's an amount you'd be willing to pay? 3000 sounded reasonable to me since most users have counts in the 30,000- 50,000 range it feels.

1500 would be fine. That amount would seem like a pittance to most and they'd be more inclined to play. That, or MAYBE 2000. You'd still get a decent chunk of Viz if you win, based on how many show up.

I got summoned too. Seriously, chess? I like to play chess, but how does that work via using text on the chat bar?

Ah, Chess.  I used to be okay-ish, but I haven't seriously played in about a year.  Still, I'm definitely interested in joining this.  When will the games start?  I'm going to be away until July 3rd/4th and I'm not 100% sure when I'll be able to get on the Internet, let alone have Internet access at all, so I don't want to join just to be unable to participate in the actual matches.

The matches would start around July 1st-5th. If you enter you could make special arrangements to play on a later date as long as it was before the second round.

I have to say no to this tourney, since I tend to be on odd hours and I flat out suck at chess. Haha.
