That's a funny yet interesting match up. I would have to say a whale, because they are a LOT bigger than an elephant and stronger as well. They are both mammals, but they have both advantages and disadvantages. If the elephant was swimming in the ocean for reasons unknown. The whale can drag the elephant underwater drowning the land giant, but the whale is useless on land. (Beached whale is bad!) It's pretty much a tie in a way. If the elephant is in the water. I really can't attack back, because it won't be able to breathe, but a beached whale can't attack back either since it haves no way of attacking back, but I still say the whale would win.

I like your versus animal battle threads CatDog.

I think the Blue whale would win because it's the largest mammal on the planet at the moment. An elephant would be a good contender but in the end would lose and get swallowed whole.

I choose the whale! Generally, its weight actually does out-weight the elephant.
