hackerman : Viz was harder to earn back than lol.  Also it was harder to become trusted back than because only I could manually hand them out, now it's an automated system which can be abused.

It wouldn't be an entirely bad thing to back to doing it that way.  Members could still give out trust points, but only you would be able to activate that status after maybe questioning some of the staff on whether they approve.

I know what happened to the people that I personally know, but beyond that many are a mystery... like zero cool, Nasus, etc.

I can tell you the following:
Rogue just got her BAs in Journalism and American Studies, she and ZosoDemaria are living together and happy. Zoso is in a decent local band.
WhiteRose just got hers in Psychology and works at a preschool. She and GuardianOni have been engaged for years and are saving up to buy a house.
AnimeRPJunkie moved up near San Francisco and works as a chef for some NASA facility up there (he went from computers to culinary arts), CIAHacker does at lot of work in the gaming industry as a play tester, as well as a lot of other technical quality assurance stuff and consulting.
Pockets (the least active one), got married and has two kids along with a step-son. He plans to open his own custom shop for motorcycles.

and McFoxx works for TSI Corp in downtown LA (big telecom company).

I think that is all of the Long Beach/So Cal people that I know personally.

Elara : I had no idea that you knew that many members from the old board personally.  Sounds like they're all successful, I'm happy for them.  Zero Cool I actually have on MSN and we talk maybe once or twice a year and his last activity on this board was a little over a year ago.

I'll go over a few members I know personally from the old board (all of which have been active on this board as well but have been inactive for quite a while).



DNG aka Glenny aka DudeNamedGlenn - Joined the military and got married.  He was active on the board for a little while last summer.

John - Also joined the military with Glenn.  He was also active a little on the board last year.

Cid - He use to be my best friend but we haven't talked in person since my wedding (nearly 3 years ago) and haven't talked on the phone in nearly a year.  The only thing I know about his occupation is that he started working at a factory that I was working at quite a few years ago and I'm pretty sure he's still there. 

Mike - He went to college for something but we don't really keep in contact much but I do have him on facebook and xbox live and we send short messages back and forth once in a great while (like congratulations on ____ or happy bday).

Davideo7 : The board got shut down at 552 members and I am member 553. Does that mean I was officially the first person to register on the new board?  If so awesome

Also are the old posts apart of the new board? If not you could probably transfer it over by reordering the thread and post ids.

Jigsaw - no, it doesn't. I'm 123 and I joined a month after the new board came up. I was never a member of the old board. Everything got reset I believe.

Gosh I wish I could see screenshots of the old board, old logo and stuff, it would be a cool history, I feel like wishing I was part of this site back in day. Cool idea.

JigSaw : No the old board isn't linked with the new board in any way and re-ordering ids to add the old content to the new board would be bad since search engines and other external sites linking to threads on vizzed board would than be linking to the wrong threads since thread url's are based on thread id.

Nice for the archive to be back again. Vizzed looks so much different now, than back then. My guess is that acmlm's code is nearly completely gone from the current one. I like it

septembern : Yeah back than the site contained about 90% acmlm code, now it contains less than 25%.  Also both sites use different versions of the acmlm board engine.

Randy53215 : Looking back at it now, switching doesn't seem like to big of a loss because that previous board had only been around for 1 year, this new board has been around for nearly 8 years now.  And yeah, lots of updates have gone on as well as lots of traffic but the new vizzed did go a through a few phases where it nearly died (or did die and needed to be revived).

That is pretty interesting that you had a vizzed archive board. What happened to it when you took it down.

Can you use your log in credentials to get into the old board or do you need to register completely as a new user
