Xenosaga has to be one of the best RPG trilogies ever created. The passion and religious background behind it all is astounding. The depth of the story and gameplay in the third and "Final?" installment of the epic trilogy made me so hooked, I finished it in the first 3 days I got it (Yes, 10 hours a day)
Graphics:
Breathtaking; It looks like a launch PS3 game in some moments. The fight scenes are the best I've ever seen in my life, and one of them actually surpasses advent children's standards (Spoiler: When kosmos throws a telephone pole-shaped metal bar at Black Testament).
Gameplay:
I've heard many complaints about the gameplay such as "There's too many scenes" or "When can I start playing?". If you don't like stories that actually require some thinking, then be my guest; buy FFXII. If your A.D.D. doesn't kick in and eat your brain, the scenes will make you laugh, cry, shout, and sit silent in shock. The story is the heart of this amazing RPG, and boy is it a burning red heart.
Music:
Move over, Nobuo! If you listen to the music, you'll wet yourself in amazement. It's powerful, moving, and every song fits a different situation. If you watch the scenes, you'll notice most of the songs aren't even repeated more than once in the entire 30-hour game.
Length:
It wasn't bore-me-to-death long, or 3 loading screens and you're done short. It was just right. Sure, its rival FFXII is about 150 hours depending on what you're aiming for, but that's too long.(off topic) Square Enix tends to make some of their games excruciatingly long, and they take your social life out in the forest and beat it over the head with a shovel. Namco Ban Dai (I know, Bandai labels f***ing everything) made this game a gem.
