I didn't list all of them, but that's 35 games... I think the word "Final" is pretty damn stupid for a long running series like that. Do the math: If all of the games above were at the normal US market retail price today (50$ average), that would be 1,750$ out of your pocket, and that's just ONE person! Imagine the millions who like the series! That's about 1.7 billion for every 1 million people in the franchise. Not to mention, they sell T-shirts, bags, hoodies, memory cards, key chains, soft drinks (Yes, an actual SOFT DRINK by the name of "Potion", what else?), movies, strategy guides, and even posters...

I think youll find "Final" has nothing to do with the length of the series, but what i think every single game has in common, the destruction of earth... No honestly, you didnt pick up on that? Final Fantasy is like the end of the world... And in the FF series, your always trying to prevent that... Make sense now?

MichaelVash is correct, that is the true story behind it, it was their Final attempt.

While their certainly isn't 35 Final Fantasy games (re-releases shouldn't count, neither should kingdom hearts), you did forget Final Fantasy Legends 1 - 3, which were only released for the original Game Boy.

I already know its history, I just told you that in the first post. I know it was their final attempt; Nobuo made the first FF game, and he makes almost every song in FF. I'm just saying they should let it rest for a while, make a commercial that says "The final one is here" and then wait for a couple years, then make another one (You kinda have to give people a chance to beat the previous game before you make another one.)

By the way, FFIII for japan and FFIII for america are two totally different games, just buy FFVI, the guide for the "Old FFIII" is the guide for FFVI, trust me I've played it. Kingdom hearts revolves around two franchises: Disney and Final Fantasy; Although mostly disney, I don't think Disney made a cartoon about the rising of nothingness and the linking of worlds...

Although not made by square soft, Final Fantasy Flash RPG Is a pretty decent game. Takes the main characters from a few FF games. Also, it definitely shows you the kind of stuff you can do in flash. Of course, with the proper skills, you can put together something way better than that.

So basically it's not that hard, just requires a little while of practicing, right? (Plus, I'm definitely waiting until I get a new computer in order to get flash, this thing is a crap shoot)

What does Kingdom Hearts series have to do with Final Fantasy? Yeah I know characters for the FF series are in it, but why did you put them on the list as a final fantasy game?

Final Fantasy isnt a lead on game. All of them have little to no things similar between them.

I think that it is cool that they came back with their final attempt, you can only wonder what they were thinking as they developed it.

Everybody knows that they call it Final Fantasy, because Squaresoft, now known as SquareEnix (I know you know that), they were going out of business in the gaming industry. So they put all their time and money into making the first Final Fantasy to save their company and BOOM! It was a HIT! Now they just create all these other final fantasy's and it has more meaning in it like what IceWave said. But if it wouldn't have been a hit...that would have been SquareEnix's Final Fantasy.........

*EDIT* Also, how can you forget Final Fantasy Tactics! That is one of the basics of Final Fantasy! (Well, I think so.)
