I'm looking for members who will have a lot of free time this summer (aka June, July and August) that are willing to help out with the Retro Game Room (and who also want to earn lots of Viz). I'm looking to hire about 10 people and each person can apply for 2 positions. I will be appointing the new staff on June 6th 10th and that's around the time you will begin working.

Requirements
-Must be a trusted member or have at least 50 posts
-Must have been a member for at least 30 days
(or have at been here for at least 6 months and have at least 10 posts)
-Have at least 10 hours a week that you can set aside to helping out
-Be willing to help out users when they have problems or questions with the RGR

Available Positions
-Game Testing: You'd test out games in each of the available emulators to see if there are any problems
-Game Reviewing: You'd thoroughly review games in the RGR that you think are good
-Hacked Game Reviewing: You'd review hacks and compare them to their original game
-Hacked Screenshot Taking: You'd take screenshots of Hacked games
-Screenshot Adder: You'd add screenshots to games missing them
-Box Art Adder: You'd add box art graphics to games missing them
-Screenshot Rater: You'd rate screenshots that users have submitted
-Review Rater: You'd rate reviews that users have submitted (and also comment on them)
-File Adder: For a future feature, you'd find and add files to games such as manuals, walkthroughs, music, maps, etc (this is equivalent to 2 positions)
-Video Recorder: For a future feature, you'd record yourself playing games, add it to youtube and than link it to the game page (this is equivalent to 2 positions)

Additional Positions for a future 'Flash Game Room':
-Flash Game Screenshot Taking: Take screenshots of the flash games
-Flash Game Reviewing: You'd review the flash games
-Flash Game Submitter: Go around gathering flash games and than adding them (this is equivalent to 2 positions)

Please respond to this thread telling me which 2 positions you're interested in and also why you think you deserve those positions

Hello, I am close to 50 posts (I have posted alot in the past few days and I PROMISE to keep posting on a regular basis), Ive been a member for years, and I'm more than willing to help for 10 hours a week, and it will be a breeze helping others out as well.

I would love to review anything, and test games, and video record, or even upload files.

I know you said 2, but I'm going to try and provide some flexibility to your plans =)

I review games anyway, as a side thing, not attached to the job, to do that as a staff job wouldn't burden me more, but allow me to focus more on reviews.

-Hacked Game Reviewing: You'd review hacks and compare them to their original game

Read above, I like playing hacked games, because they end up as parodies of the original games. I have a wide knowledge of most games, so to do this and the job above would be natural for me.

-Review Rater: You'd rate reviews that users have submitted (and also comment on them)

This could go hand in hand with any of the other jobs for me, I know what goes into a good review, so I know how to rate a review accordingly.

I would be more than happy to do multiple things to help out the site, but if I had to only choose 2 positions I think I would choose Game Testing, and Game Reviewing.

I am an active member of the site who spends a lot of time here each week. Vizzed is one of my favorite sites to visit on the net.

I also love retro gaming, and have been an avid gamer for about 25 years now.

considering what i do on youtube, i think id be perfect for game testing and reviewing!

I would like to apply for Review rating and game testing. I meet all the requirements. Also I will have plenty of time to work this summer on the site and help RGR the best that I can.

I'm a hard worker and I will make sure I put 100% effort into these positions. I'm very interested in Gaming and computer programming and rating games. When I graduate my homeschooling I'm thinking about applying at a college for computer programing and or games/or game creator. I really enjoy these kinds of things.

You and me have talked via PM before about me getting an RGR staff position, so I won't go TOO into detail as far as background info. However, I obviously qualify for all of the things you ask for.

The reason I failed on my last RGR staff job was because it was the holiday season and I was FAR too busy to help out. Now, schools almost out, and I have a ton of time on my hands.

I am a loyal and dedicated member of this site, and that's why I'd like to help out.

Hacked Game Reviewing

I love ROM hacks, and I've even dabbled in doing some myself. I'd love to have this position, as it'd be more original and new then doing regular reviewing. As you can see, I have some of my reviews in the Review section of the RGR forum, and I try to be lengthy and detailed.

I've noticed how some of the games are missing a lot of graphics. I'd love to fix that, and add a TON of new graphics to games.

As you might know, I've been away a bit..but I have quite a bit of free time coming up this summer, and have been planning a return to Viz in a big way. I have well over 50 posts, am a trusted member. The 2 positions I am interested in is the screenshot/review rater. I have experience as an editor ( short fiction magazine, 1989; Independent comics company, 1994-5), am a fair and balanced rater, and I also think having this gig would be an added incentive to ensure I'm here more. I have been a trusted member for about six months or more.
I am on the site almost every day.
I can apply for screenshot adder and hacked game reviewer.
I have been a member for almost 3 years and I have over 70 posts.
I play many hacked games and can review well.
I add screenshots to almost every game I play and enjoy taking them.
I have much more than ten hours a week that I can give to the RGR and site.
I am very willing to help out whenever necessary.

I may be gone around 4th of July camping, but whenever I'm gone I'd let you know. I meet all the requirements, and I would like to apply for Game Tester and Video Recorder. If you want, I can also test features out on the Nintendo Wii.
Edit: Might as well say why! Anyway, I think I deserve these because first of all, I love games, and also I want to help the Vizzed community, and I also think I would do great at recording gameplay, too. I think I could get Vizzed some extra traffic, too. As for the Wii part, I just think it would be interesting to know what works and what doesn't on the console.

I already enjoy adding screenshots for games that don't already have any.
I have been a member for over 3 months now and I'm well known around the board.
My grammar is proper so members can always come to me for help and actually understand what I'm talking about.
My summer is looking empty so that's why I'm so willing to do this.
I could also take on Review Rating as too often is the case people don't even read the review and it seems like it would blend nicely with the other positions I'm asking for.

Davideo7 : I want to be a game tester and a screenshot adder. If its only this summer i have all the time in the world to do these because i have nothing special to do. When does this end? Im trying to et the 50 posts needed because i already meet every other requierement.

i've been on for more than a month. i'm trusted (at the point where i can give 3 tp's) my family wants to save money and vizzed is in my top 5 so there's 65% of my p.c. time invested in there. i'd be willing to help newbies so newbies can reconmend the site to others.

GAME TESTER: i look for as many glitches as possible and i'm expirenced with glitches (i own sonic 06, one of the glitchiest games ever) so i'd be up for the job. plus i'm thinking of being a game devolper or tester.

HACKED games review: i'd love this position scince i know what constructive critism is and i have decent grammer and spelling. also i compare stuff to originals all the time, wether it's candy flavors, movie remakes, arcade ports, cartoon reboots, 8 bit-16 bit translations, etc.

so thats why i'd like to become staff

Davideo7 : Game testing and game reviewing sounds fun, im pretty good at writing too so it shouldnt be a problem.
I try and help people now anyway, despite not being staff, im not altogether concerned about the Viz though, just offering help. Those jobs will probably be quite highly contested but if you have trouble getting volunteers for the more mundane tasks its not a problem, pretty much any of those jobs would be fine by me.

the_casualty : Not to be a prude but the requirements state you must be trusted "OR" have 50 posts, unless Davideo7 made a mistake you dont need to be trusted.
