On an episode of X-play I just saw, they took all 3 major systems (Xbox, PS2, GCN) and tested them for how much punishment they could take. They had three rounds. The PS2 lost in the first round. The second round they hit the GCN and Xbox sideways with a sledgehammer. For the last round they dropped the GCN and Xbox from about 10 or 15 feet. The Gamecube won. It still played even after all of that.

i still havent had a single problem with my ps2...or any of my other systems...my ps2 might need to be lubed for the dvd drive but other than that no probs....but i have heard of many bad probs with the xbox....but thats mainly the owners fault like putting it on a not to sturdy surface and it gets knocked over and stuff messing up...

My PS2 is crap now, guess that's what I get for getting one basically right when it came out ...

Disc Read errors, sums it up. It's prevented me from being able to complete Xenosaga, and other games.

I can't wait until the PS3 comes out, when I get one, I'm going to break my PS2 over my bath tub.

That is the problem with ours. I own Virtua Fighter 4, but have never been able to play it. It will never read purple discs. It is really annoying. Our Xbox still works, and my Gamecube works perfectly.

I saw that episode as well. Don't forget to mention that they did it TWICE just to prove that it wasn't a one time thing. The results were exactly the same but they didn't show the second test.
