I don't know if this has been posted or whether there are many people here who make videos or films on youtube, but if you are a video/film maker, what is your favorite video editing software?

I currently love Sony Vegas Pro. Still have a lot to learn about it, but it is a nice software to make nice videos. I was also introduced to Final Cut Pro when I took part on making a Class Film against the other classes (Freshman, sophomore, senior) at my school. That is pretty nice too.

play4fun : I've heard Vegas is a decent editing sweet, I've always used Adobe Premiere Pro.. nothign against any other software.. just takes ages to learn each different program and why learn another when you know one already lol. The best software Ive ever used is Final Cut Pro.. but I hate Macs.

Huhh.... Final Cut Pro is Mac only? anyways I have tried Sony Vegas, Pinnacle, Adobe Premier Pro. Lol I have used each for like 10 minutes. I have learned nothing But I would like to, is their stock footage that people can use for learning purposes?

In all honesty, I've used a variety of programs, and the best "free" one I think was AVS for my purposes. It was fairly flexible and worked well for the time, but had one fatal flaw: the watermark. I hates watermarks in that they take away any professional air the video has.

I dislike Virtualdub because it is a pain to get supported videos to match their codec requirements without additional downloads...and I don't like that.

I recently started using Blender, and despite the learning curve easily one of the best I've used. It is extremely flexible and has a lot of functions I enjoy seeing in these programs.

I use only one video editing software and that is Windows Live Movie Maker, it is pretty easy to use and can do numerous things to edit, and it is free!
