I just realized, I never named my favourite band. I don't really have one. I love Björk, Wu-Tang Clan, Metallica, and Mr. Bungle a lot. Of those, Metallica and Mr. Bungle are the only groups that would be considered "bands" in a thread like this.

Truth be told I do not have a single favourite band. It is not just me being indecisive but simply that there are a large number of bands that are awesome from my perspective, and that their musical styles are so different trying to encompass a single favourite is simply impossible.

Some high on my list include AC/DC, Neil Young, Bob Seger, Joe Satriani, Iron Maiden and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
