This wasn't really a mistake, it was just plain stupidity.  I once filled an entire box up with Magikarps.  Yes, one of those PC boxes, entirely full with Magikarps.  I have no idea what I was thinking at the time, but it sure wasted A LOT of time.  I must had been really bored.

The stupidest thing I did in Pokémon history is in my Diamond and Pearl game. I got the Master ball, 6 year old me didn't read text or dialogue at the time and just wanted to play. I had no idea the Master ball caught ANY Pokémon 100% of the time. So I thought it was a super special and rare pokeball that was just no different than an upgrade to the ultra ball. Then, 6-Year old me goes and uses it in the first fight he can find to capture a Pokémon that I haven't caught yet. And then, there I went, I weaken the Pokémon, and threw the ball, and I ended up catching a level 29 Pelliper. When ever I see that forribiden Pokémon in my PC today, I shudder and face palm at how stupid I was as a Child. I wasted my Master ball on a LVL. 29 PELLIPER! I like Pelliper, but not that much, I mean come on!

Once I released a fully evolved blaziken and I saved my game after beating a gym and couldn't get him back.
I also spent a month trying to find the gym where you fight your dad.Also I was playing Pokemon leaf green (before I found Vizzed) and when I saw a saved game on the cartridge and deleted it immediately only that a few minutes after the save I just remembered what the save contained: all fully evolved Pokemon, so I did a psycho style rage quit.
Once I released a fully evolved blaziken and I saved my game after beating a gym and couldn't get him back.

Oh my. I've done so many stupid things in Pokémon! But the ultimate worst one was using the masterball on a ditto -.- I'm so stupid. I was using my Zapdos, fighting a ditto in a cave and it used Transform but I never noticed this. So I thought this was a second Zapdos, and that's completely RARE. So, I threw my masterball at it... caught it. 'Ditto's data was added to the Pokédex' ... I was so disappointed and depressed for like 2 weeks later. Then, I realised there was a masterball cheat and what did I do? Used it - corrupted my whole game. Two amazingly stupid things that I've done!

hmmm...I'm a Pokémon genius the only time I make a mistake is usually by accident.
I have never done anything too dumb, the stupidest thing I could do is use the wrong move like focus energy on torchic when I meant to attack!
But other than that I could be a master in a long period of time going through regions!
Yep clicking the dumbest thing I could do is click the wrong thing it doesn't have to be a move though.

In Pokémon yellow version, I didn't know what cut was used for so I stayed in vermilion city and I got my Charizard to level 70, until a friend of mine told me what cut was used for...felt pretty dumb afterwards.

In Pokemon Light Platinum, there is a gym with boulders, and you can put the boulders on the exit, and you can't escape.. Unless you have an Abra. xD
