    Sony's Vita (AKA PSP2) is coming out in the USA either winter time or Q1 next year. It's going to be technically superior to the 3DS in pretty much every way, save the 3D screen. The thing is, the Vita is huge. This is a pro and a con. The screen is large, making for better immersion in games, but makes the Vita large. The Vita has 2 console-like analog nubs, as opposed to the PSP's gritty nub and the 3DS's slide pad. The nubs allow for (possibly) better analog control than the 3DS, plus the 2nd nub means camera control outside of the ABYX buttons and/or the touch screen. The downside of the nubs is that it makes the Vita even less pocket friendly.

   As for Microsoft, they've stated that they have no intention of going into the handheld market, and that they're perfectly content in simply making games for their mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7.

I have to agree the vita is going to be better than the 3ds in certain ways but in my opinion I think the 3ds is still better but that's just me.

The 3DS is the bomb. I love it. The battery is the only issue, and at that, that's if you're using MAX settings. The games aren't that good to start off with, as they're mainly ports of N64 games or something, I pretty much use my 3DS as one of 3 things: A DS, A emulator, and my Portable OOT/SFIV Machine.

Sony has a plan, but that's the Vita, (PSP2, NGP), which is going to have the same battery, but with MINIMUM settings. The games are pretty much going to be ports of PS3/PS2 games as well. I'm going to be very intrigued with the resolution, but I'm not going to really go anywhere with it if I buy one. With all of the touchscreens, it's going to be a fingerprint/smudge attractant, which means I'm going to have to clean it every day, which can get tedious.


Rasenganfan2 : I have a Windows Phone 7, the games are all gawdawful, they lag a ton and won't let you download them without a computer connection, you can't buy games with a simple debit card or prepaid card, you absolutely NEED a credit card.

It's a phone, I didn't see the games to be much, but it's still pretty bad.

alexanyways : You spread lies. The Vita's battery life will be 3 hours on max settings, same as the 3DS. 5 hours on minimum settings, like the 3DS. I used to use my 3DS for SSFIV, but then I learned that Mortal Kombat was vastly superior. For now, it's pretty much my Zelda machine. Between Zelda OoT Master Quest and Zelda II, I'd say I'm a happy camper. Can't wait 'til the end of the year, though. Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Star Fox 64 3D (I know it's already out, but I'm broke). Then, early 2012, Kid Icarus!

 Also, Skyward Sword for the Wii at Christmas! Finally, a good game to play on the Wii... last new game I played on it was New SMB Wii. Yes, that's just how much I think of the Wii's games. 

Vita>3DS>not putting out something at all

The Vita (like the PSP before it) will be the dominant handheld. I don't care if there are a million types of DS and they outsell Sony. Most people buying a DS seem to be repeat buyers these days.

I'm buying a Vita. I would have bought a 3DS if they JUST KEPT LEGENDS 3. Idiots.
