well a while back when I was thinking of a screen name for xfire, I couldn't think of anything, so I took the word Username and replaced the word name with my nickname Mike. short for Michael UserMike! not to be confused that I'm a user of something, except for maybe VizzedB. lol

The first part of my name (p8) is my last name Pate. The second part is great because I'm fantastic.

Nearly two years ago I got my 3rd computer ever. It was much better than the first two. The prior computer could not get sound, was slow as poop, and had nothing going for it at all really. When I got #3 though, I was ecstatic! I could finally listen to music, watch videos, play games, make slide shows, burn a cd in less than an hour, etc.

Eventually, I found myself on sites that would ask me what my email address was before posting. As a result of years of cyberphobia, I did not trust anything online. So, I just gave the sites my friend Jon's email address instead because I was scared to get a virus or worse...spam!

When I registered for Vizzed, I decided that I'd be honest and just declare that I am not Jon (=NotJon!)

...Or something like that. All I know is that to this day, I still use his email address (which is not even functional anymore) for posting on sites like Fangraphs that require an email to be able to post.

Well, this is a thread idea I never thought about doing.

My name originally came from a mix up of letters when I first created it (the Cyro half, back in '96), but since using it as an online alias I eventually felt it had a smooth as ice feeling to it. I also like cold weather, snow and ice. When I'm not shy, I can sort of "smooth talk" to women. So the word was given an ice element. It fit nicely. A few years later I came to an electric element to the name, and then even later, energy. After a while I got rid of the electric part since energy described the physical side of me. A smooth talking, yet very physically active man. Although for those of you using IE to get on Vizzed you can hover your mouse over my sig and see Ice, Energy AND Electric as the description on my name. I should change that if it's true. The "Xero" was something I added because I like making up words and words that have a futuristic sound to them.

That's the deal with my name. It didn't have any meaning until I gave it one. Although, according to Noelia "Cyro" was either a leader of or the ruler of Turkey or another country a long, long time ago. And "Xero" means hero in Greek. So as she put it, "Cyro the Hero".

That fits, too.

Well, it's kind of obvious that my username is my real first name.

Annette is a French variation of Anne, which is derived from Anna, which comes from the Hebrew name Hannah. It has several meanings: Gracious, graceful.

In Tolkien's Middle Earth there was an elf princess, named Luthien, who fell in love with a human named Beren. Coincidentally Luthien means "graceful of movement" and/or "charmed/charming" in Sindarin (an Elvish language). So my Sindarin name could be interpreted as Luthien. As a huge Tolkien nerd I find this very interesting.

I play a game called www.weewar.com which is a strategy wargame. I went with Happy_Daffodil to mess with people and then I got good. I changed my name to something more intimidating.

Warmaker has been one of two names I use for profiles and games ever since. The other, Davion, is from the Mechwarrior series.

my username means im uncreative, i used it as my psn by accident cos i was getting annoyed with it saying i couldnt use the names i was entering and it accepted which also annoyed me slightly but i just went with it and use it for most things unless its taken, easier than having loads of different names, makes me look arrogant though.

Well I thought of this because xx sounds cool and in Japan mega man is called Rockman.
