I have a friend that I had a major crush on for about three months, and decided that I should tell him because I felt guilty about it. I told him, and it got real awkward real fast between us. Now he says we shouldn't talk to each other for a while and now I feel really bad about creating this unhealthy tension between us. What should I do?

Been there many times. My best advice is to acknowledge the fact that things got awkward and remind him that, regardless of your liking him, that you value the friendship that he and you had over that of any romantic interest; if that is the case.

Be honest with him about your feelings (which you have done), and tell him that you don't want your romantic feelings for him to ruin your friendship.

Also, keep in mind that guys are idiots (I can vouch for this since I am one) and he may just need some time to sort through his own feelings.

Because ChosenDagger said it all I will give you some possitive hope.

My brother had the same thing happened he told a friend he really liked him and that got akward. They were child hood friends and the friend didn't feel the same way. But my brother understood how his friend felt and they were able to repair their friendship. Now my brother vissits his friend every few months and they spend a week hanging out~

Hopefully you can do the same thing with your friend and find your true love as well~
