I liked Gale of Darkness more, even though I liked the darker theme of Colosseum more due to the better game mechanics in Gale.

I haven't played Gale of Darkness, but Colosseum was decent. I just wish there were more Pokémon to choose from. The limited supply discourages me from replaying. I replayed once because I've been using Action Replay to catch any Pokémon I want, then trading them to my FireRed. It's a good storage system so I can save my favorite Pokémon before I restart the game.
