So, there have been some changes on staff lately. Legacyme3 stepped down a while ago, vizwiz123 lost his spot and there is a potential for a new global mod. We're looking to add some new local mods to the team. If you are interested please send a PM to the global mod inbox to be considered.

Requirements:

Age : 14+
Posts Per Month: 75+
Visits Per Week: 3+
Previous Experience Moderating: Any would be an asset.


Also include a list of the forums you would like to mod. Anything with 2 people already on it is off limits. We only want 2 people per forum.

Oh, and give us a reasons why you think you would be a good local mod. Convince us that you are the best choice for the position. If you don't have a reason you won't be considered.

Have there been a lot of applications yet? Also, does this mean that there will be two new mods to replace legacy and vizwiz, or potentially three to replace the potential global?

the number of picks does depend on how many people apply and the quality of the people. If we get a lot of good candidates then we might pick 3 or 4. If we only get 2 people we actually want to hire then we'll only pick 2.

Is previous moderating experience only limited to this forum? Or is it past forums as well? also is there a requirement on how long you have been a part of the forum?

aeonarial : past experience would almost have to be somewhere else. Likely if you previously a mod here then we would already know. I want to hear about things I'm not already familiar with.

there is not a requirement to be here a certain amount of time before applying either. We have had people who were picked after being here only a few weeks.

What is it exactly that a Local Mod does? Is it just moving threads that need to be moved, closing threads that need to be closed, and stuff like that?

NotJon : for the most part. You also become a chat mod at the same time. You're also responsible for keeping your forum as active as you can and answering questions that come into the local mod inbox.

If you are a good user, you have just as good a chance as anyone, and it does help if you can be mature about things (like if one isn't picked, don't have a rage fit, that makes it less likely that you will ever be chosen)

Description: I would love to be a mod, because I love helping people. Moving threads and making sure nobody gets bullied in chat (I've seen it happen many times) would make me really happy. I've referred 3 people I know to Vizzed (One who didn't know how to refer, so it doesn't show up in my profile). I'm pretty sure there are many more people who have a better chance than me, but hey. Why not take a chance.
