Have you ever been to an Aquarium and if so which one?

Im working at one right now and it's loads of fun so I hope to see more people supporting their local Aquariums.

If anyone wants they can move this to where ever they see fit. I forgot to put it in Light Hearted.

Yeah, i've been to one, but only once. It was the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in Burlington, Vermont. I went there because of a Boy Scout trip, not really cuz i wanted to... but it ended up turning out kinda fun, anyways.

I've been to one in Gatlinburg, and a few others that I can't name off the top of my head.

They were pretty fun I think it is a nice experience visiting an aquarium.

Yes, I think the Vancouver Aquarium is beautiful and well-maintained. The only thing I have an issue with is that they keep Beluga whales and dolphins in captivity, but at least they released their Orcas.

I went to San Diego's SeaWorld. I think that counts as a Aquarium!

On a note about the SeaWorld - I got splashed by the orca star there. Not fun, guys, not fun...

Annette : Some species survival depends on the animals in captivity. The aquarium I work at has been one of the organizations that has brought the wild population of Red Tamerons to the highest its ever been. And they are attempting to do the same with two toed sloths and dolphins.

hackerman : There should be an aquarium some where near you if you ever plan to go to one.

Snowdeath : Yeah! I guess that counts. lol

I actually have. I'm not a fan of them, they are like museums... but for fish. I don't like museums enough to begin with.

the last time I went, I threw up too. I hate Aquarium food.

My wife and I went to sea world on our honeymoon. It was cool. She really likes that stuff. But better than that was going to Discovery Cove which is a place owned by SeaWorld. We got to swim with dolphins, tropical fish, manta rays, and a bunch of other cool things. I recommend it highly.

Oh! At Sea World they have a tunnel that you go through that is surrounded by a shark aquarium. It's pretty sick as well.

DBDonald : I know that is often true. But it still makes me sad to see dolphins living in a tank so I don't look at that section of the aquarium.

Yes, I have been to an Aquarium. However, it has been a while since I was last at an Aquarium. I think the last Aquarium I went to was the Vancouver Aquarium.

Heh, yeah I have; the Aquarium of the Pacific twice in my life.

First time I went was a school field trip in the 5th grade lol...

The 2nd time I went was actually very recently on a date with a certain girl that I've known for a while, and is probably going to be the one that I settle down with ...

Yeah, I have. I went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium with my parents back when I was about ten. It was a pretty cool place from what I remember. I'd like to go back someday. [= I really liked the tunnel passage where it felt like I was underwater.

I also went to the Seaside Aquarium when I was even younger than that. I don't really remember much from that one. =|

Yeah I've been to four so far:

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium in San Pedro, CA
Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA
PPG Aquarium in Pittsburgh, PA
Sea World in San Diego, CA

I love aquariums, and so far Aquarium of the Pacific is my favorite (cuttlefish, sea dragons, sea otters and sharks FTW!). I want to check out a lot of other zoos and aquariums when I get the chance (I've heard that San Francisco's Aquarium of the Bay is amazing, among others)

It's certianly been a while for me, but I've been to an aquarium- inside the Mall of America. Underwater Adventures is what it's called. The last, (and only) time I was there was back in high school. Or maybe a few years after that. they say it's the world's largest underground aquarium, probably in just the U.S. But it is big. I'm sure they've rotated out dozens of different exhibits since then but I don't know what they have down there now besides the underwater tunnel thing. It's 300 feet long. Almost as long as a football field.

Whoa, okay. I was wrong about the name. It's now called SEA LIFE. UA must have been bought out because there are a bunch of SEA LIFE's all over world.

http://www.visitsealife.com/Minnesota/

And I was just at the Mall back in July while on leave, too. Not sure why I didn't notice it
