I'd save V. It just doesn't seem to fit the original pokemon concept. Some sprites may be kinda cool, but most are pretty lame. and the names are kinda dumb too, since, unlike most pokemon names, haven't been changed to a more English form and stayed japanese

The newest one is so friggin stupid. I started reading the names of the pokemon and gave up after I read the name of the fire starter's final form. Emboar? Really? Could they get any less creative? I think they should have stopped making games after the second generation because after the second generation, the games started going downhill. But they've really hit rock bottom with this new generation.

legacyme3 : I second that. I really hate the fourth generation. There was maybe a handful of Pokemon that I liked (Drifloon, Drifblim, Spiritomb, and that's it). The graphics of the games also were terrible. It looked too lame (for lack of a better word).

G-E-N-E-R-A-T-I-O-N-1 . it was primitive even for 1995 standards, and all the pokemon and cries were over the top stupid. the plotline was bland, and it was not a good game to start the series. now, if they had started with G/S/C, that would have been WAY better.

With all the hate on the new stuff, you're gonna hate my opinion.
I absolutely hated Pokémon Red and Blue.  It was kind of obvious that Nintendo and Game Freak had no idea what so ever what they were doing with is.  In fact, let's put yellow on that list as well.  If I wanted to play as Ash, I'd do it on my own.  In other words, Generation I is the absolute worst to me.  Also, the newer Pokémon got, the better it got for me.  Except I did like Gen III a bit better than Gen IV.
