I downloaded Real Player about a week ago, and it comes with a feature that lets you download stuff off of Youtube. I'm not all that tech-savvy, so i didn't even know you could do this before the option popped up. Problem is, Youtube must've updated their site or something because now, about a week afterwards, its stopped working. Is there any other site or program that could do that instead? There's a couple of videos I really want to download.

Well, here's a cool way to get videos on your Ipod.

Step 1: Type "DVDvideosoft free youtube to Ipod converter" on google.

Step 2: Download it.

Step 3: Bring up Youtube, Itunes, and the converter you installed.

Step 4: Copy the URL of the video you want to download and download it.

Step 5: Sync the video on to your Ipod!

This is useful for youtube videos you like to watch a lot, or if you don't have WiFi and can't go on youtube. If you have any more questions about it, PM me.

Weird, I have RealPlayer for many months and it still works fine. Actually, I downloaded a video a few hours ago. Are you sure you didn't change any of the initial setting of the program? And what version do you have?

Another program I used in the past was Vdownloader, but it's not as good as RP.

noelia : um... well... I don't really know much about this kind of thing, so there's probably something I can do to download anyway that im just not noticing. What happened was, whenever i'd go onto youtube and watch a video, a little icon saying "download with realplayer" or something like that would come up. Recently, that little icon is nowhere to be found, nor is there any option to download by right-clicking. my version is 14.0.2.633. please tell me what you do to download stuff with realplayer so i can try and see what i can do.

But as far as I remember there is an option to turn off that little icon, probably you've checked this option. If you have a glance at the options, I'm sure you'll find it. Find it and turned it on. I would have helped you more if I was on my laptop, but I'm not, sorry

Note: I think you have to open it, go to the up left corner (it says real player) click it (or from "Tools") (it depends on the version), and go to preferences. Go to "download & recording" and you'll see an option about how and when this icon is going to be shown.

Tools -> Preferences -> download & recording (there you'll see all the options about it, just click which one suits you better

Okay... i don't exactly understand just what is going on, but I checked my settings and everything is fine. However, it still doesn't show up when i play videos of any sort. HOWEVER, for some strange reason, this only happens on Google Chrome. I tried it again on internet explorer and it worked just perfectly. Who knows. Whatever it is, i can download videos again now, so... thanks!
